Meet Jonathan Blair, a Computer Science student at McGill University with a unique background Canadian-born and Jamaicaraised.SincemovingtoMontreal,Jonathanhas found the city to be both exciting and unpredictable, with its mix of vibrant culture and unexpected events—like a corgi costume competition he came across earlier this year. Whatstandsoutmosttohimisthelivelinessof the city, which seems to carry on even during the latest hours of the night. This constant energy, combined with the diversity of experiences Montreal offers, has made his time here both memorable and engaging as he continues to explore everything the city has to offer.
Outside of his academic life, Jonathan enjoys spending his time exploring the city on foot and discovering new dessert spots, making the most of Montreal’s food scene. At Campus1, he has had a very positive experience and enjoys taking advantage of the amenities available, particularly playing pool and table tennis, as well as appreciating the view from the 19th floor. He highlights the importance of stepping out of your room and making use of shared spaces like the study rooms and the chalet, as they provide great opportunities to meet new people. For Jonathan, these casual interactions can turn into meaningful connectionsthatlastwellbeyondresidencelife.
