IMPORTANCE OF REPORTING INCIDENTS AND INJURIES We are all trained to report any near misses, injuries, or incidents to a supervisor or safety representative. However, many incidents, especially those involving first-aid-type injuries, are often not reported for various reasons. It is essential to understand why all injuries must be reported. Why It Is Important to Report Injuries The most important reason is to ensure the situation or hazard is safe for yourself and others at the worksite or work area. Another reason is to share your experience or the lessons learned from the incident with others in order to prevent it from occurring in the future. How to report an injury Report all injuries to your direct Supervisor or Manager. Summary Reporting all injuries, no matter how minor, protects you and the company by possibly preventing a recurrence for you or any other person. You never know when something minor will develop into something more serious. There are always lessons to be learned, even from minor injuries, that can help prevent others from occurring in the future. WWW.CANADACARTAGE.COM
