DAYFORCE LAUNCH BEGINS IN APRIL

We’re excited to officially launch the first phase of Dayforce in April. This new system will bring time tracking, payroll, and HR processes into one integrated platform, helping us work more efficiently, improve accuracy, and make betterinformed decisions

The rollout will take place in three phases (April, May, and June) to ensure a smooth transition for all groups, with additional details shared closer to each launch. While your pay schedule will remain the same, you will notice changes in how you enter time, request time off, and access your pay statements.

Employees in the April launch group will receive more information shortly, including training invitations and key dates. All employees can expect guidance on process changes, access to training and resources, and support from Dayforce Change Champions embedded across the business

This is an important step forward in enhancing our systems and overall employee experience. If you have questions or need support, please contact your HR team or email HRIS@canadacartage.com.

CCLS SUPPORTING CALGARY'S VETERANS

The Calgary divisions of CCLS (Canada Cartage Logistics Solutions) came together once again for their annual food drive and the results were outstanding. This year, they donated 434 pounds of food and supplies to the Veterans Food Bank of Calgary, valued at $1,527.68.

The Canadian Veterans Services Society expressed heartfelt appreciation, with Donor Relations Coordinator Sheri Langen saying, “We’re so grateful for the partnership with like-minded people such as yourselves, demonstrating kindness to others. We couldn’t serve our clients without you. ”

Thanks to the generosity of CCLS employees, countless veterans and first responders will receive the support they need. The Society is already looking ahead, eager to partner again for the 2026 Food Drive!

STAYING AHEAD OF EVOLVING CYBER THREATS

Cyber threats are constantly evolving, and new scams are appearing more often.

Two types of attacks are becoming especially common.

QR code phishing (“quishing”) is on the rise. Scammers send QR codes that lead to fake websites designed to steal your information

Because we often use QR codes for payments, menus, or sign-ins, it’s easy to scan them without checking where they lead.

AI-generated phishing emails are also increasing. Cybercriminals now use artificial intelligence to create messages that look very real often pretending to be from your company, a manager, or IT. These emails try to rush you into taking action, like resetting a password, approving a payment, or sharing sensitive information.

How

to Protect Yourself

A few simple habits can help reduce the risk of falling victim to cyber scams:

Be cautious when scanning QR codes, especially those in unsolicited emails, packages, or posters.

Confirm the sender’s identity before clicking links or opening attachments

Avoid responding to urgent requests for passwords, financial information, or gift card purchases

Check website addresses carefully scammers often create fake sites that closely resemble legitimate ones. Report suspicious emails or messages to your IT department immediately.

Remember: Cybercriminals are counting on you to act fast and without thinking. Pause. Verify. Think. Even a moment of caution can be the last line of defence against a cyber-attack Staying sharply alert is critical—your vigilance could make all the difference

AVOID THE BITE: TICK SEASON IS HERE

As temperatures rise above 4°C, ticks are active again across Canada. These tiny parasites live in grass, wooded areas, and even city parks and can attach to people and pets as you pass by.

The biggest concern is Lyme disease, which is spread by blacklegged ticks and is becoming more common.

Protect yourself and your pets:

Avoid tall grass and wooded areas when possible Check for ticks after spending time outdoors

A quick check can make all the difference. Learn more about prevention and safe removal: http://ticktalkcanada.com
