On Sunday, May 31, the Camrose Flying Club will host the 67th Annual Camrose Fly-In Breakfast, a strong and enduring annual celebration of aviation in our community. By showcasing the airport to the general public, the club hopes to make aviation more accessible and visible, inspiring people of all ages. What began as a simple gathering of aviators has grown into a recognized destination within the general aviation community, with pilots planning annual flights to Camrose as a beautiful start to their summer flying season. This is the largest, longest running and one of the most respected fly-in events in Canada, a distinction that reflects exceptionally well on the local aviation community, the City of Camrose, the Camrose Airport and the people who support it. If favoured with reasonable weather, about 100 aircraft are expected. With that many aircraft, there will be a landing or takeoff every 1.2 minutes, making it the busiest airport in the country between 8:00 a.m. and noon on that day. Proceeds from the breakfast will support the Camrose Air Cadet Program and the Camrose Fish and Game Association, with thanks for their assistance with this event.
