The talk of the town the last few days is the sale of the majestic Rosehaven building on 53 Street in Camrose. The buyer has not been publicly revealed as of press time for this edition of The Camrose Booster. A sold sign first appeared at the entrance to the property on Saturday, March 28. This structure and property represent a well-known landmark in the central Alberta region and has a rich and storied history in both education and national defence purposes. The Province of Alberta completed construction of the three-and-a-half storey brick building in the town of Camrose back in 1915, when the population stood at approximately 500 residents. An entire city block was devoted to the facility and a park-like setting has continued to date, regardless of building purpose over the years. The building was originally architecturally designed as a training centre for teachers. For over 20 years, this remained the purpose of Camrose Normal School.
