29th Annual Banquet & Awards Night Saturday, March 28, at Ohaton Community Centre.
As of press time, the hard-working group was still eager to sell tickets, attract silent auction items and gratefully accept donations. Money raised will largely be directed to completing the second of two handicap-accessible washrooms at the site and the purchase/installation of two more fishing stations for the popular Pleasure Island Fish Pond. The cost of each deluxe washroom has averaged nearly $12,000. The Association takes pride in annually sending kids to summer conservation camps, educational programs and kids' fishing events, thus providing learning scholarships and financially supporting additional wildlife efforts and habitat trust funds. If you can attend or are willing to support this fundraiser, see the ad in this edition.
