While many of the VIP tents and other attributes affiliated with Big Valley Jamboree in Camrose blossomed from the bare grounds of Camrose Regional Exhibition last week, erection of the festival’s centrepiece – the main stage – started yesterday (Monday) morning. A mini army of labourers and a crew of forklift operators were busy as bees, yet keeping an eye on changing weather, as the stage started taking shape in a highly coordinated effort. Big Valley Jamboree is expected to attract more than 20,000 people daily, as people flock to Camrose to see and hear some of today’s hottest country entertainers. Thousands of these guests to the community will stay in over 5,200 individual campsites. This massive pop-up community will be on roughly 400 acres of land close to the concert bowl. The Camrose Chamber of Commerce will recognize the temporary doubling of the population of Camrose by entertaining visitors and residents alike with the 26th Annual Kick'n Country Parade. It will commence at 10:30 this Thursday morning.
