Not your parents' old game of Frisbee F
lying discs in the air were made famous in 1967 by the Wham-O company, which went on to sell over one hundred million of these toys over a ten-year period. Since then, a fast-growing sport called disc golf, has been developed. Our community even has a Camrose Disc Golf Club which gathers for competitive throwing and camaraderie. Players can be found having fun in Jubilee Park during three seasons. Disc golf is open to all ages from five years and up. It can be pure recreation or may gravitate into tournament opportunities for the more serious throwers. For all involved, it is a great way to enjoy nature, get fresh air, have a few laughs, and improve physical and mental well-being.
