Bulbs, purchased in the memory of a loved one, will be offered Saturdays, December 14 and 21 at the Duggan Mall by caring volunteers. Tax receipts can be issued by the non-profit society for donations of $10 or greater. A similar long-standing project in Camrose several years ago illuminated a large tree in front of St. Mary’s Hospital. With the higher visibility location, Hospice Society members are crossing their fingers, hoping at least $3,000 will be realized in this year’s endeavour. Money raised will help provide home-like hospice settings which are used in conjunction with compassionate care of the dying. Funds will also assist in supporting loved ones at their time of greatest need. For more details see the article on page 4 of this edition of The Booster.
