The late Ludigalda Mavika was a visionary leader, a passionate advocate for girls’ education, and a pillar of CAMFED Tanzania’s mission. As Board Chair, she steered the organization with wisdom, integrity, and unwavering commitment to ensuring that the voices of marginalized girls remain at the center of decision-making. Her leadership reflected a deep belief in community-driven solutions, strategic partnerships, and sustainable empowerment through education, safeguarding, and dignified storytelling.

Beyond governance, Ludigalda was a mentor, a champion of ethical leadership, and a catalyst for transformation across Tanzania’s education and development landscape. Her legacy within CAMFED was defined not only by progress made, but by futures unlocked, confidence built, and communities strengthened. CAMFED Tanzania honors her service, celebrates her impact, and remains inspired by her dedication to a world where every girl can learn, thrive and lead.

Ludigalda was a passionate advocate for the most vulnerable in society, and dedicated to advancing the rights of children across Tanzania. In her role with CAMFED she supported every girl’s right to barrierfree learning and every young woman’s right to a life of independence and influence.
Ludigalda was a Partner at LNR Attorneys, a law firm in Dar Es Salaam. She was an Advocate of the High Court of Tanzania and of all subordinate Courts, with more than a decade of experience in corporate litigation, security documentation, land law, human resources and labor-related matters.
She participated in projects to advance the rights of children affected by HIV/AIDS, including under the Tanzania Commission for HIV/AIDS (TACAIDS)”.
