The festival started after the Cycling World Cup Competition was held at the Velodrome in 2015 and is held on Anzac Day every year, only
interrupted by Covid for two years. It was another busy Anzac Day in the town starting with the Dawn Service – with the Red Poppies hot air balloon featuring – followed by the Commemorative Service in the Town Hall at 9am.
