The smart tool for EU proposal drafters and grant writers CallforEurope is a consultancy that provides for professional information and assistance on European Policies, Programmes and Public Calls. Our mission is to support transparent knowledge and easy access to all of the opportunities offered by EU Programmes. We think that giving fresh information on such themes is a valid lever for boosting European Union integration.
Our support is intended to: • offer technical information on how to access to and manage EU grants and projects; • make people find new transnational partnerships throughout Europe; • stimulate public debate on how to access to EU funds. Our ambition is to serve as a technical resource center. We want to serve primarily those that usually work on writing applications and
managing projects through European funding. Call them “Euro-drafters” or “Euro-experts”: in any case, their activity demands high specialization and a constant updating on European policies, programs and public calls. Our service is intended for them but also for any private, public and not-for-profit organization interested to European programmes and funds.

SOFT Innovation Prize
call synopsis Programme
EURATOM-PRIZE EURATOM Prizes
Administration
European Commission
Objective
Fusion research encompasses innovation in the domains of physics and technology over a wide variety of specialisations. Fusion researchers are constantly challenging the scientific state-of-the-art and improving the technology thereby creating the conditions for innovation, much of which can be exploited in other science and industrial sectors for the benefit of society. The fundamental basis of the Euratom Programme is the drive and support for innovation across the product development chain from research to market. In this context the researcher plays a critical role. The SOFT Innovation Prize[1] is being offered to highlight and reward excellence in innovation that can be found in fusion research as well as the quality of the researchers and industries involved. Following the success of first four editions of the SOFT Innovation Prize awarded by the Commission under Euratom Research and Training Programme 2014-2020 (in 2014, 2016, 2018 and 2020), the European Commission is holding the contest again in association with the next Symposium on Fusion Technology (SOFT) in 2022.
Eligible Activities
The complete application for the 'SOFT Innovation Prize' should include: a technical description of the innovation a state-of-the-art assessment of the innovation an account, in general terms, of the market potential for the exploitation of the innovation

EITPlan4EU Programme
Administration
AIPlan4EU Consortium
Objective
The AIPlan4EU project will bring AI planning as a first-class citizen in the European AI OnDemand (AI4EU) Platform by developing a uniform, user-centered framework to access the existing planning technology and by devising concrete guidelines for innovators and practitioners on how to use this technology. To do so, we will consider use-cases from diverse application areas that will drive the design and the development of the framework and include several available planning systems as engines that can be selected to solve practical problems. We will develop a general and planner-agnostic API that will both be served by the AI4EU platform and be available as a resource to be integrated into the users' systems. The framework will be validated on use-cases both from within the consortium and recruited by means of cascade funding; moreover, standard interfaces between the framework and common industrial technologies will be developed and made available.
Eligible Activities
AIPlan4EU is currently looking for individuals and companies to provide AI Planning use-cases. The AIPlan4EU open calls aim to upgrade third parties’ capacity to leverage AI planning technology in various sectors and offer financial support for European individuals, companies and innovators to experiment in highly innovative, cross-border experiments.

call synopsis Horizon Europe Programme
Administration
ERC Consortium
Objective
Deeper and more diverse set of research-related and transferable skills and competences; Improved employability and career prospects both within academia and beyond; New mind-sets and approaches to R&I work forged through interdisciplinary and inter-sectoral experience; Enhanced networking and communication capacities with scientific peers, as well as with the general public that will increase and broaden the research and innovation impact.
Eligible Activities
Applicants submit proposals for new or existing doctoral or postdoctoral programmes with an impact on the enhancement of human resources in R&I at regional, national or international level. These programmes will be co-funded by MSCA COFUND. Proposed programmes can cover any research disciplines ("bottom-up"), but exceptionally can also focus on specific disciplines, notably when they are based on national or regional Research and Innovation Strategies for Smart Specialisation (RIS3 strategies). In this case, the range of covered disciplines should allow reasonable flexibility for the researchers to define their topic. Funding synergies with Cohesion policy funds and the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF) are strongly encouraged. A Career Development Plan must be jointly established by the supervisor and each recruited researcher upon recruitment. In addition to research objectives, this Plan comprises the researcher's training and career needs, including training on transferable skills, teaching, planning for publications and participation in conferences and events aimed at opening science and research to citizens. The Plan must be established at the beginning of the recruitment and should be revised (and updated where needed) within 18 months. COFUND takes the form of: A) Doctoral programmes; B) Postdoctoral Programmes. On top of compulsory international mobility, applicants are encouraged to include elements of cross-sectoral mobility and interdisciplinarity into their programmes. Researchers will be able to freely choose a research topic and the appropriate organisation to host them, fitting their individual needs.

Eligible Activities
The organisations constituting the partnership contribute directly to the implementation of a joint R&I project by seconding and/or hosting eligible staff members. Such a project must explore activities that can be based on previous work but should go beyond and generate or strengthen long-term collaborations. Secondments must always take place between legal entities independent from each other. MSCA Staff Exchanges can address three dimensions of mobility: inter-sectoral, international and interdisciplinary[1]. While exchanges between organisations within EU Member States and Horizon Europe Associated Countries should mainly be intersectoral, same-sector exchanges[2] are also possible under the condition that they are interdisciplinary. Interdisciplinarity is not required for same-sector exchanges with nonassociated Third Countries.

Demonstration of innovative materials, supply cycles, recycling technologies to increase the overall circularity of wind energy technology and to reduce the primary use of critical raw materials
Horizon Europe
Administration
European Commission
Objective
To achieve the goals of climate-neutrality by 2050, renewable energy sources installations will have an explosive growth. Wind energy, in particular, will play a large role on supplying clean energy to the electrical grid. Nevertheless, this growth must be done in a sustainable manner and following the principles set out in the Circular Economy Action Plan and the Action Plan on Critical Raw Materials. Thus, clear and decisive actions will need to be taken now to assure that the future wind farms are sustainable and circular, while also dealing with current wind farms and the recycling of their components, once they reach the end of their lifetime. The nature of this challenge involves different kinds of activities. The first activity is on the development of large-scale industrial demonstration of composite material recycling technologies to increase the circularity of wind technology. This demonstration will focus on flexible approaches for composite recycling, and on the development of a knowledge hub involving other composite-heavy sectors, in order to share best practices and to identify common challenges.
Eligible Activities
On the development of large-scale industrial demonstration of composite material recycling technologies to increase the circularity of wind technology, proposals are expected to demonstrate recycling technologies at large-scale in an operating environment. The proposed solution will be a flexible production line, able to deal with a large amount of material (including, for example, coatings, paints, etc.) and applicable to several manufacturers and possibly to other sectors. The proposed solution should also have a long-term plan, with a business plan, beyond the life of the project. The proposals will also build a knowledge hub within the sector and with other sectors to transfer information and to promote recycling in the renewable energy sector and ‘circularity by design’ as a solution. On the development of alternative solutions to replace/substitute critical raw materials, proposals need to develop and demonstrate, in a relevant or operational environment, solutions and their supply cycles, improving efficiency of sourcing processes and effectively replacing the constrained materials. The development of advanced ‘circular by design’ materials should also be considered. The solutions proposed should be in line with the Action Plan on Critical Raw Materials [1]and the Foresight Study on Critical Raw Materials for Strategic Technologies and Sectors in the EU.

Objective
European Youth Together projects aim to create networks promoting regional partnerships, enabling young people across Europe to set up joint projects, organise exchanges and promote trainings (e.g. for youth leaders) through both physical and online activities. The action will be implemented through two lots supporting transnational partnerships for youth organisations either at grassroots level or in largescale partnerships, aiming to reinforce the European dimension of their activities, including on how to live better together after the pandemic and helping to design sustainable future ways of living, in line with the European Green Deal and the New European Bauhaus initiative. Important thematic priorities for both sub-actions are working with and promoting the EU Youth Goals and, in general, the EU Youth Strategy 2019-2027246. The European Youth Goals are also reflected in the President von der Leyen Commission’s political guideline. Project proposals may also treat the themes of the ‘Conference for the Future of Europe’. Young people and youth organisations are key actors in the recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. Youth networks should consider ways of forging solidarity and inclusiveness, and how to improve quality of life after the pandemic, which concur with challenges related to digital skills and sustainable green lifestyles.
Eligible Activities
The action targets NGOs (not for profit) and public bodies, which propose projects with a capacity to mobilise young people in partnerships covering different countries and regions within the EU Member States and third countries associated to the Programme. Mobility activities for young people should form a key component of European Youth Together projects. This mobility should offer cross-border exchanges and non-formal or informal training opportunities for young people from across Europe (East, West, North and South) that can be prepared and supported through online fora to contribute to the objectives of this action. These mobility activities must be very clearly justified according to the objectives of the action.
