CHAMBERLAIN

About Aspen Winds:

Aspen Winds is dedicated to educating, entertaining, and inspiring audiences through chamber music of and for our time . We focus on modern quintet repertoire that appeals to all audience types—from the novice listener to avid classical music fans, children through adults . Programs often include storytelling, costumes and visual art .

All five musicians of Aspen Winds are outstanding performers and educators with a special interest in reaching out to children, families, and underserved communities . We provide educational outreach through several organizations, including the NOVA Chamber Music Series education program, Mundi Project, and the Discovery Gateway Children’s Museum . Additionally, members of Aspen Winds are on faculty at several Utah universities, including Utah Valley University, Snow College, and Westminster College, as well as having robust private teaching studios .

Aspen Winds also encourages and embraces collaboration— not only through commissioning new chamber works but also through partnering with other amazing artists across the country to create dynamic and exciting live concerts and online collaborations .

Individually, we are sought-after freelance musicians in the Salt Lake area working as studio musicians on many recording projects and with local groups, such as the Utah Symphony, Ballet West, Boise Philharmonic, Utah Baroque Ensemble, Salt Lake Choral Artists, Millennial Orchestra and Chorus, and Utah Chamber Artists, among many others .

Recent quintet performances have been featured in the conventions of the National Flute Association, the International Horn Society, and the International Clarinet Association .
