BYU Education Week welcomes Millennial® Choirs & Orchestras as they present AMERICA 250, a powerful musical tribute celebrating 250 years of the American story. Featuring hundreds of musicians— including children, youth, and adults, joined with a full symphony orchestra this inspiring concert reflects on the sacrifices, struggles, and shared ideals that shaped a nation. Welcome to BYU Education Week

We are pleased to welcome you to BYU Education Week, a program with nearly 1,000 classes designed to strengthen and enrich your life! Education Week brings together 280 presenters, 500 volunteers, and hundreds of BYU employees to provide a unique, outstanding educational experience

This year’s theme, “Charity Is the Pure Love of Christ, and It Endureth Forever” (Moroni 7:47), highlights Mormon’s instruction, echoed by prophets today, that “charity suffereth long, and is kind, and envieth not, and is not puffed up, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil, and rejoiceth not in iniquity but rejoiceth in the truth, beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things” (Moroni 7:45).

We hope that as you attend BYU Education Week your testimony of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ will grow, your charity toward others will increase, and you will experience the blessings “bestowed upon all who are true followers of his Son, Jesus Christ” (Moroni 7:48).

Cash registers will be open at all Dining Services locations. These registers are cashless, but we do accept Cougar Cash/BYU Dining gift cards in addition to Credit and Debit cards.

1. Online: Guests can visit dining.byu.edu/mobile-ordering or scan the QR code below to place an order at one of the many Dining Services locations using a credit or debit card.

3. Advice from Longtime BYU Education Week Attendees

• Mark your first- and second-choice class preferences for each hour.

• Bring a light sweater—some classrooms are cooler than others. And wear comfortable shoes!

• Carry a small notebook or tablet for class notes. Rather than trying to write down everything, write the things that are most meaningful to you.

• Expand your interests and take advantage of new learning opportunities by attending one or two classes each year that you would not typically choose.

• Visit with the people around you. It’s a good way to get to know good people, and they may recommend great classes you might otherwise miss.

• Avoid restroom lines by using facilities in buildings and on floors where classes are not held.

• Ask a friend or family member to drop you off at BYU each day. If this is not possible, save time by parking west of the stadium and taking a shuttle

CONTINUING LEGAL EDUC ATION (CLE) REGISTRATION

When you register for the Tuesday–Friday section of BYU Education Week (or with the Monday–Friday section if you plan to attend regular Education Week classes a day before the CLE classes begin), the $50 CLE fee can be paid in advance by selecting the option For Attorneys: CLE Credit Early registration is available for these full-day Monday–Friday or Tuesday–Friday sections. You will be asked to provide your state and bar number when selecting the CLE credit option. Attorneys planning to register for a single day or any other part-event Education Week section, either in advance or during the program, will need to pay the $50 fee at the door of the classroom, 214 Crabtree Building, during August 18–21. You will need to show your Education Week name badge in order to pay the fee for credit at the door of the classroom.

REFUND P OLICY

Refunds (minus the processing fee) are made if your written refund request, receipt, and name badge arrive in our office by the following dates:

• Friday, August 7, for Housing ($20 processing fee).

• Thursday, August 13, for Registration ($8 processing fee). No registration refunds will be made after August 14.

HOSTING STAFF NEEDS

Hosting is an enjoyable and rewarding experience, as evidenced by the hundreds of volunteers who return each year. In exchange for their service, volunteers receive complimentary class admission for the week. To volunteer, complete the short application at educationweek.byu.edu by July 26 (or until hosting shifts are filled). Please note the following hosting information:

You receive a complimentary Monday–Friday name badge if you host a shift for four consecutive days.

Volunteers attend a training session at 10:00 a.m. in 3220–3224 WSC on Saturday, August 15, 2026. If you are not from the local area and cannot attend the meeting, please contact our office at 801-422-6214.

GENERAL INFORMATION

DRESS AND CONDUCT STANDARDS

Participants are asked to uphold the CES Honor Code standards of dress and conduct while attending Education Week. The dress of men, women, and youth should be neat, clean, and modest in fabric, fit, style, and length. Clothing that is strapless or revealing does not meet the guidelines. Skirts, dresses, and shorts must be knee-length or longer. See the Education Week website for details.

ASSESS YOUR HEALTH

Before you decide to attend the program, please carefully assess your health condition in light of the heat, altitude, large crowds, stairs, and possible long walking distances between classes.

EMERGENCY HEALTH CARE

For the most immediate emergency response while at the program, call 801-422-2222 to reach BYU Police, or call 911 for emergency services. The Student Health Center (SHC) is available to Education Week students in case of accident

or sudden illness. Regular business hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Proof of Education Week registration is required to receive health services. You must pay for treatment when you receive it. The Student Health Center is not a Medicare or Medicaid provider

FOOD AND DRINK IN CLASSROOMS

With the exception of the Marriott Center, food and drink may not be consumed in classrooms. Water bottles are permitted in all classrooms.

NO RECORDING OF LECTURES

Lectures may not be recorded or broadcast. Taking pictures during a lecture is permitted, but please turn off the flash and be courteous of the presenter and others around you.

BYU Education Week participants have free guest access to the internet via wireless network in most academic buildings (including the WSC), classrooms, and student common areas on campus. This service is not available in student housing residences except in the common areas. Education Week makes no guarantee of service. The guest wireless network is an unsecured connection; participants are advised to use caution when sending confidential information over a wireless network. To connect to the wireless network, choose BYU-WiFi from the list of available networks on your mobile device. You will be prompted to agree to the terms of service for guest access every 24 hours. No password is needed to access BYU-WiFi.

TRANSP ORTATION AND PARKING

PARKING ON CAMPUS

BYU Education Week parking is available in specified lots on campus and is marked on the map on pages 40–41. Please park only in these areas and within painted stalls, not along unpainted curbs. Your vehicle should not extend over the lines dividing the stalls, either on the sides or in front. Cars are not allowed to park in designated motorcycle areas or travel lanes. Your vehicle may be ticketed or towed if you park in areas other than those indicated on the map, if it is parked in a stall designated for another purpose, if it is occupying more than one parking space, or if it is along an unpainted curb in a travel lane. Disability Parking requires a state-issued handicap plate or permit. Please do not park in neighborhoods north of the Marriott Center or east of 900 East. Ample parking is available in the lot west of LaVell Edwards Stadium at 1700 North 150 East. Shuttle buses run continuously from that parking lot to campus.

RV PARKING

We encourage you to stay in local campgrounds designed for RVs. While not encouraged, RVs are permitted in lot 37, north of the Indoor Practice Facility (see map). RV parking is restricted both day and night to this lot only. RV parking on campus is available for completely self-contained RVs only and is permitted beginning Saturday, August 15, on a first-come, first-served basis. Lot 37 is a parking lot only; there are no restrooms, showers, hookups, or dump sites. Restrooms and showers in student housing and locker-room areas may not be used by participants staying in RVs. We also ask that you not bring pets onto campus property. When using the parking area, you must keep it free of litter, ensure that your vehicle does not leak, keep awnings contained so traffic is not impeded, be sure you do not attach anything to structures, fixtures, surfaces, or electrical sources, and keep RVs inside parking stalls as much as possible. Shuttle vans run between lot 37 and the main campus.

We strongly encourage you to use the bus rapid transit system, Utah Valley Express (UVX), Route 830X, which runs through Provo and Orem. Ticket options include a one-way ticket for $2.50, or a day pass for $5.00.

The benefits of riding Utah Valley Express:

• No need to bring a car to campus.

Buses arrive at each station every 10 minutes from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on weekdays. The early-morning and late-evening routes, from 5:00 to 7:00 a.m. and from 7:00 to 11:00 p.m., arrive at each station every 15 minutes. See rideuta.com for weekend times.

• Bus stops include three stations on campus:

• the BYU Stadium Station near the Marriott Center

• the BYU North Campus Station near the BYU Conference Center

• the BYU Central Campus Station near the BYU Music Building and the Wilkinson Student Center

• the BYU South Campus Station just 300 yards south of the Wilkinson Student Center roundabout

• Each end of the UVX route—the Provo Central Station and the Orem Central Station—is a connecting point to FrontRunner, UTA’s commuter rail system that has trains running between Ogden and Provo. BYU is just a 23-minute bus ride from either of these stations.

COURTESY SHUTTLE VANS

Primarily to assist senior and disabled students, courtesy vans run between specified campus locations from 7:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. on Monday and from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. (or until after the evening performances) on Tuesday through Friday. Van routes take participants to key destination points, but they cannot take you directly to the door. You are responsible for moving from class to class or to a parking lot or residence hall Shuttles run regularly between perimeter parking lots and the main campus; shuttles also run directly from the West Stadium Lot to campus. Van stops are marked on the campus map on pages 40–41, and large, detailed route maps are posted at each van stop and at Education Week information desks. Buses that run between the West Stadium Lot, the Marriott Center, and the Museum of Art are wheelchair accessible. One wheelchairaccessible van is available. Due to demand, there may be a wait as we try to accommodate all those who desire this service

AIRLINE FLIGHTS AND COMMERCIAL TRANSPORTATION

Airline flights may be arranged through BYU Travel Management Services at 801-422-3872. Mention that you are attending BYU Education Week. Express Shuttle (801-915-1577) has multiple fleet vehicles and offers ground transportation from the Salt Lake City International Airport to the Provo area. Another option to get from the Salt Lake International Airport to BYU campus is to use public transportation. Board a train at the Airport Station, transfer to FrontRunner at the North Temple Station, transfer to the UVX rapid transit bus at the Orem Central Station, and ride to the BYU Stadium stop or the BYU North Campus stop. Rideshares, such as Uber and Lyft, are another option for transportation. By downloading the Uber or Lyft apps for IOS and Android, a ride can be booked to get you from the airport to your destination.
