Thank you for your interest in our offering. As you evaluate the lots, we hope you recognize the time, intentionality, and careful thought that has gone into each mating decision. We are excited about the future of these genetics, with calves expected on the ground from each pairing within the next year.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss the offering further, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Tim, Davy, or Cody—we would be glad to visit with you.
Welcome,
We are truly grateful for your interest in our program and for taking the time to be a part of this sale. The genetics we are offering represent not only years of dedication and investment, but also the heart of our family.
As fourth-generation Hereford breeders, raising quality cattle is more than a business to us—it’s a legacy. Our operation was built with a clear vision: to establish a superior foundation of females and allow them to become the driving force behind our herd. From the beginning, we have been committed to investing in elite genetics, carefully selecting top females from some of the most respected operations across the nation. That commitment continues to shape the program you see today.
Our family—Tim and Erin, along with our children Devon, Trevor, and Braxton—are actively involved in every aspect of the operation. Whether it’s daily work at home or traveling across the country exhibiting cattle at the state and national level, this lifestyle is something we are passionate about sharing together. These experiences have strengthened not only our program, but our bond as a family.
We are blessed to call the area just outside of Caldwell, Texas home, and we always welcome visitors. If you’re ever in the area, we would love for you to stop by, tour the herd, and see firsthand the cattle and program we are so proud of.
Above all, our family is Christ-centered, and we strive to honor that foundation in both our lives and our work. Our love for Hereford cattle runs deep, and we are thankful for the opportunity to share that passion with each of you.
Thank you for your support and interest in our program.
Sincerely, Tim and Erin & Family

Lots 1-19 are free of all known genetic defects per AHA. The dam of Lot 20 is DBP, but has no calves that have been tested as carriers.
Thank you for your interest in the family and our program. Growing up I found a desire to raise and show quality Hereford cattle, and as our family grew, our son Aubrey found that same desire. Whether working in the barn or on the show road we enjoy spending family time together. Aubrey’s passion for Hereford cattle has allowed him to excel in numerous national contests as well as pursuing his interest of becoming an auctioneer. We hope the genetic offering in this sale will bring as much joy to your family as they have and will continue to do for ours.
Thank you and God Bless, Davy, Anne and Aubrey Lockhart
4C Ranch, located in Caldwell, Texas, exemplifies enduring family values and steadfast dedication. With a history spanning over 150 years of continuous operation, the ranch is owned by Cody and Lisa Chenault and their daughters, Amanda and Cailey. Throughout much of its existence, 4C Ranch has maintained a commercial Brangus herd.
Two years ago, the Chenaults embarked on an exciting new phase by incorporating high performance Hereford bulls into their herd. Excited by the resulting market performance of the Hereford genetics, they made the strategic decision to change out much of their herd to Herefords. Leveraging high quality donor cows from top Hereford breeders across the county, they are making a quick transition to producing their own exceptional Herefords. The 4C Ranch vision is twofold: (1) create winners in the show ring and (2) produce the highest quality USDA prime beef in the Hereford breed.
Integral to the ranch’s continued success are Tim and Davy Lockhart, who partner with and advise Cody and Lisa Chenault. Their expertise has played a pivotal role in guiding 4C Ranch through its recent changes and toward its vision of being a premier breeder of Hereford cattle.
Thanks Cody and Lisa Chenault

We are Excited! After a successful run at the Churchill Cattle Female Dispersal last fall Cody and I decided we needed to be at the Bull Sale in January. Mainly to support a friend, but you never know what might happen. We hadn’t walked 20 feet into the first pen when Heritage hit us. And He Hit Us Hard! Long as a well rope, Thick and Stout, Cool Fronted, and Super Dark Red and Pigmented. Then we looked at the catalog. An Oshoto out of “The Birdwell Cow”. His paper is Crazy Good. Top 1% of the Breed for MARB and $BII, the Top 5% for SCF, Milk, Udder, Teat, $BMI, and $CHB. He is the Highest Marbling and $CHB Oshoto son in the breed. His fertility is off the Charts. We bought him on a Tuesday, he went to World West on Wednesday got collected on Thursday, and we used him in IVF the next week, where he performed exceptionally well. The girls in the TOG lab said we could’ve done a lot more cows with that unit. We have high hopes for Heritage. This bull is owned by Sigma 8 Beef, 4C, Double L Cattle, HC Herefords and Ade Polled Herefords.
We are offering 3 packages of Sexed Female Semen - 2 units per package. Conventional semen is available from the Owners or Dale at Churchill. We want to see him used in the breed because we know what he will do.
Most folks know that Davy and I have been involved in the Hereford breed for the better part of our lives. For nearly 40 years, we have raised and exhibited Hereford cattle, building not only a program, but a way of life. As Devon once put it, “Herefords – It’s what we do.” That statement couldn’t be more accurate. We were raised in this breed, and now we are proud to be raising our families within it as well.
Last summer, a local family friend, Cody, reached out to Davy with an interest in taking his cattle operation to the next level. We were somewhat familiar with Cody—he had previously purchased Aubrey’s commercial heifers and had attended a few Brangus sales with Davy. What began as a simple conversation quickly evolved into something more intentional. As we visited further and evaluated opportunities, it became clear that Cody’s vision extended far beyond simply owning cattle. If we were going to pursue this together, the goal was clear: to build something exceptional.
A pivotal moment came during a trip to the Churchill Cattle Female Dispersal. There, we saw firsthand the kind of genetic foundation required to move the breed forward. It was evident that Dale, had identified a critical need within the Hereford breed—enhancing marbling and carcass quality, and doing so fast. We were fortunate to acquire the Lot 4 female from that sale, a decision that has since shaped the direction of our program. From that point forward, we have been intentional about incorporating high carcass merit females into our herd.
However, as we continued to build, we recognized a challenge. Many cattle that excel in carcass traits often lack the phenotype and presence we value. Since we see these cattle every day, both performance and appearance matter. That realization led to our defining vision— what we now call our “light bulb” moment.
Our plan for the coming years is straightforward, though certainly not simple: to produce high-quality carcass cattle that also possess the structural integrity, eye appeal, and overall look we demand. Will it be easy? No. But we are committed to the process and confident in the outcome. This is not a short-term endeavor—it is a long-term commitment to advancing both our program and the Hereford breed as a whole..
We are offering a flush in 5179 to let others in on the ground floor of what we are doing. Come along with us on this journey; it’s going to be fun.

When Cody and I got to the Churchill Dispersal in September I knew we needed to add a daughter of “The Birdwell Cow” to our program. When I saw Lot 4 I knew she was the one. She embodies the Sigma 8 Beef slogan - Carcass with Look. Deep, thick sound with all the goods under the skin. We are Excited to offer a flush in her to the public so that you can share in the journey going forward. This daughter of Then Some Ranks in the Top 1% of the Hereford breed for SCF, Teat, Marb, $BMI, and $BII. She is also in the Top 5% for Udder, REA, and $CHB. She displays a bone structure and stoutness not normally seen in “Carcass Cattle.”
Selling 1 IVF aspiration procedure to be done at TOG-Bryan as soon as possible after the sale. We guarantee 6 Grade 1 or 2 embryos. Buyer is responsible for the flush and semen costs

Offspring of 579

Where to start on 579. She and Devon started out their partnership in an interesting way. 579 was always a little bit of a handful to say the least the first few times in the ring with a 12 year old that didn’t weigh 40 lbs were interesting. But their partnership grew and the Banners started coming. We have had by far more calves out of her and all types of Sires than any cow we have ever worked with. She has never missed for us. She is also the dam of 149 who was the Champion Cow/Calf in Denver a couple of years ago. 149 has now entered our Donor program and WOW. If you are looking for Power and Consitency here you go. 579 is Homo Polled so the Heritage and Element Embryos will be as well. We intentially didn’t sex the Heirtage Embryos as we would like to have a Herd Sire from this mating.
- Heritage x 579: Homo Polled; Top 5% for Udder; Top 10% for Teat, Fat, REA, and Marbling.
- Element x 579: Homo Polled; Top 10% for Udder and REA.
- Then Some: Top 5% for Udder, Fat, and REA; Top 10% for Teat and CW.

National Western Stock Show Champion Cow/Calf Pair. That capped off a really good run as a bred heifer for Trevor. She raised a really nice Son that Devon will show this summer. She also produced one of our Top Show Prospects this year and 2 Bulls we think will be in our Pen in Denver next year. This female will produce show heifers, and we can’t wait to get more out of her. Its no wonder as her sire is Marksman who has consistently produced in the show heifer sector for the last few years. The dam of 149 is no other than 579 who has been the Best Producer we have ever worked with. These are No Miss Matings!
Here are the mating percentile breakdowns
Heritage x 149 rank in the Top 1% of the Breed for Teat, the Top 5% for Udder, and the Top 10% for Fat
Brandston x 149 rank in the Top 5% for Fat, and the Top 10% for Udder
Then Some x 149 rank in the Top 1% for Teat, Top 5% for Udder and Fat and the Top 10% for REA.
These will be FUN, I can’t wait to get them on the ground.

“Ol Mayble” she has been a special one since day one. In the summer of 2014 Kason Fitzpatrick who was the Herdsman at Churchill at the time called and said he had one for Devon. When we got up there to look we knew she needed to come to Texas. Mayble might have been ahead of her time in terms of Body and Mass. Her mother is the Great 78P cow, a past High Seller from the NJW program. Mayble is sired by Stockman who was a full brother to Miles Mckee. She has bred well to everything we have mated her to and consistently produces quality offspring. At 12 she is still sound as can be and I hope we have several years left in her.
The Sexed Heifer Embryos out of Stellpflug All That will be Amazing. I have no doubt that in a few years, we will look back and say, “Wow, these girls are good.” I think these will be a lot like the Belle Airs we had from her, only stouter. Top 5% for REA and Top 10% for Udder, Teat, Fat, and $BMI
The Heritages are intentionally not sexed. I want a Herd Bull from this mating and we transfered several specifically for that purpose. Combining Mayble, 78P, Notice Me and 7098 will produce a Herd Sire that you can build around. Top 10% for Udder, Fat, REA, MARB, $BMI, $BII, and $CHB

We should just call this page “Supreme Matings.” Everyone knows that Herefords Reigned Supreme this past show season. All That and Brandston both won the Supreme at Cattleman’s Congress, and Brandston came in strong at NAILE where he was also Supreme Champion. Mariah’s Sire Belle Air was also Two-Time Supreme Champion at Denver. With all the parents being Horned, no doubt you will be making some front end Horned Hereford Show Heifers. If you look at the numbers at JNHE over the last few years the Horned numbers have been decreasing. We have made a commitment to raising top-quality Horned heifers, which is why we decided on these matings. We will have the Brandstons on the ground early, and the All Thats a little later, but we are excited about both. Don’t Sleep On These.
The All That embryos rank in the Top 1% for SCF; Top 5% for M+G, Udder, $BMI, and $BII; and the Top 10% for Milk and Teat.
The Brandston embryos rank in the Top 5% for Milk and M+G; and the Top 10% for SCF, REA, and $BMI.

1697 is one of the Cornerstones in our “Carcass Project” for Sigma 8 Beef. This mating will make some very high quality replacements that will be in the Top 5% of the Breed for Marb and $CHB.and the Top 10% of the Breed for WW, YW, and SC. We have a New Standard daughter out of 1697 in our replacement pen that I think will rise to the Top soon enough. The Elements we have seen are VERY GOOD, and we plan to use him more.

Davy and Anne - L3 Cattle and Hay Cody and Lisa - 4C Cattle

This is a Mating that we are very excited about. Jada was a Dominate Female for Braxton. She was Supreme Champion at several Jackpots, ending her show career by being named Champion Polled Cow/Calf at the Cattlemen’s Congress in OKC. Stellpflug All That was a natural choice as one of the bulls to which we would flush her. He was named Supreme Champion at the Cattlemens Congress in OKC, as well as Champion Hereford Bull in Denver and Ft Worth. He is dark red short marked and stout made. These calves will be good. Ranked in the Top 10% for Udder.

When Perez had their cow sale last fall we looked for a cow that had their signature perfect udder and we found that in 3071. She has short teats and a perfect udder. We think this is one we can build a family around. Her mother is a Mainstay in the Perez program. The mating to Brandston will class up the front end and make Horned Show Heifers that will be fun to drag. Top 5% for WW, and the Top 10% for YW and Fat.

We went to the Churchill Dispersal in search of a POWER DONOR. 940G was one we identified very quickly. She is a massive beast that has Body and Depth that we have to have in the Hereford Breed as well as the Perfect Udder that we require. 940G has progeny in about 8 states and Canada. She is sired by Frontline who didn’t see a ton of use, but produced some really good daughters. That shouldn’t be a surprise as he is a son of Mariah (dam of 9333) and sired by our formerHerd Sire Manhattan. 940G is a Double Bred Sensation and a Double Bred 002X. Hard to go wrong here.
In January we went to the Last Churchill Bull Sale just to observe. It took about 1 minute to find Heritage in the pen. He was the Longest Bodied Stoutest Made bull in the Offering. Then, putting his pedigree into play made it obvious that we needed to own him. The Birdwell Cow has redrawn the lines for what Top Carcass cows need to look like. Bred to Oshoto, a Super Long, Dark Red Bull who has marked his place in the show ring, it’s a “No Brainer” that Heritage would be a standout. The best part about him is his fertility. We bought him on a Tuesday. He went to World West on Wednesday, jumped for the first time on Thursday, and we froze good semen. We used his semen the next week at the Girls at TOG said he was really good and we could’ve done ALOT more cows with that one unit.
We look forward to seeing these calves and what this mating will produce for us.Top 1 % for Milk, Top 5% for SC, and Top 10% for M+G, Udder and MARB

Darcy is a donor we should have started working with earlier. Her last 2 natural calves Daytona and Denver have both won at the National Level while in the show barn. Daytona won his class at Denver as a calf and at JNHE as a Yearling. Last year, he became the National Intermediate Champion Bull at Cattlemen’s Congress. She currently has a Winchester natural heifer on her now that is her best one yet. It’s no wonder why she produces the way she does. Her sire Churchill Sensation 028X is one of the Legendary Sires to come along in some time. Her dam has written her own place in history for Tom Hawk and Purple Reign.
We decided to use Stellpfulg Then Some after seeing his calves at Churchill. They have been top sellers across the country this season. We are very excited to see the calves from this mating this fall.

We have had several heifers from this mating, and they have all sold as show heifers and been very productive. Paige Denniston, Aaron Nelson and Andrew Lizama all showed heifers resulting from this mating. The Dam has been a donor for the Happ and Crane programs and has made a mark on both programs. These are no miss embryos.
