We are pleased to invite you to our Annual Sale on Monday March, 2nd at the Atkinson Livestock Market where we will be offering an exceptional set of Hereford bulls and heifers. This offering reflects our commitment to producing superior genetics and phenotypes that meet the highest standards of the industry. The cattle business is thriving, and we are proud to be a part of it.
We’re excited to show case a new sire group of bulls on this year’s sale. In the spring of 2024 we purchased the high selling bull on Landgren’s sale. Land Chief 2097 has been a huge addition. Chief is the #1 bull in the entire breed for WW and YW. There is not a single animal with a higher WW or YW epd in the breed! We own Chief in partnership with Upstream Ranch and Landgren Ranch.
We have built our program with a disciplined focus on producing seedstock that excels in growth, fertility, and long-term economic value. In today’s cattle market, pounds drive profitability. An additional 80 pounds at weaning can add $300+ per head, making performance-based genetics more important than ever.
Total pounds marketed matter. Weaning 100 calves at 550 pounds equals the same total pounds as weaning 75 calves at 750 pounds—highlighting the importance of superior growth, efficiency, and yield. Our cattle are designed to deliver the consistent performance and maternal strength required to maximize profitability in progressive cow herds.

Terms & Conditions Each animal will be sold to the highest bidder and becomes the responsibility of the purchaser as soon as sold. The auctioneer will settle any disputes from the auction block. The cattle sell under the terms and conditions as recommended by the American Hereford Association.
Internet Bidding Online bidding will take place at DVAuction. com. Please register ahead of the sale start time.
Guarantee Bulls are fully guaranteed for one breeding season. Should a bull prove not to breed cows or become injured the bull may be returned and a satisfactory replacement will be provided (if available) or a credit on a future sale will be granted. In the event of an injury during the breeding season, please contact Tyler or Cody Kester before selling the bull for salvage. Any deviations from the above statement will be worked out between the buyer and Kester Herefords.
Delivery Free delivery on bulls within 300 miles of Clearwater, Ne. Delivery will begin one week after the sale.
