Butler Overseas is a first-of-its-kind global degree program with in-person classes taught around the world, complemented by online coursework led by Butler faculty. Through immersive placebased learning, internships, and career mentoring, you’ll build real-world skills for a career without borders.
Butler University’s 30+ year partnership with the Institute for Study Abroad (IFSA) ensures on-the-ground support at every destination. IFSA’s local expertise and established onsite infrastructure promote students’ well-being, safety, and success throughout each semester abroad.

TWO GLOBAL DEGREES
You’ll major in either Environmental Studies or International Business and choose the other as your minor, building a strong foundation in sustainability and global impact. You’ll complete your internship requirement in Indianapolis and abroad, including either an additional internship or a faculty-guided research experience in Sydney, Australia or Kandy, Sri Lanka.

This major focuses on how people and the environment affect each other. You’ll study today’s biggest sustainability challenges and explore them through science, culture, politics, and economics.

Butler Overseas is a premier, three-year global degree program with a comparable cost to Butler’s traditional four-year degree. Butler Overseas offers scholarship opportunities with awards ranging from $10,000–$20,000 per year.
