The November issue of Business North Carolina featured more than a dozen buildings that have been built in the Tar Heel state in the past year and literally stretched from Wilmington to Asheville. Two of the buildings – The Radical Hotel (category winner) and the Flat Iron Hotel (a runner-up) – remain closed due to Hurricane Helene. Neither building was damaged, but neither has potable water (as of Oct. 29) with no timeline on when that will occur. After Helene, the magazine staff added a feature story on the recovery, focusing on a McDowell County campground that was destroyed, what two Asheville businesses were doing to aid in recovery and how the Boone area was hoping by ski season things would be more like normal. Another feature story focused on how churches are looking to play a role in the hosing crisis.Trend stories highlighted the “Coolest Things Made in NC” winners, H&M’s eco-friendly manufacturing site in NC, a Mooresville actor looking to inspire a new generation, the process of selling developmen
