The Joint Utah-Mexico Partnership (JUMP) strengthens diplomatic, cultural, and trade ties between Utah and Mexico. This initiative is supported by the Utah Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity (GOEO), the Mexican Consulate in Salt Lake City (the Consulate), and the World Trade Center Utah (WTCUtah). JUMP’s 2025 strategic plan outlines eight actions across four focus areas — business and trade, workforce and talent, language and culture, and tourism. The plan strengthens industry and tourism partnerships, fosters diplomatic ties, connects key industries, and promotes Mexican culture and language learning in Utah.

Increase brand awareness and visitation from Mexico
Amplify Mexican cultural events for Utah Spanish language learners
The Utah Office of Tourism will introduce new airline partnerships and marketing campaigns to boost media exposure and strengthen brand awareness
The Consulate will partner with Utah dual immersion programs to promote Mexican cultural events Support and encourage language programs
