The Center for Rural Development {CRD), housed within the Governor's Office of Economic Opportunity {GOEO), partners with local governments and businesses to facilitate rural economic growth. Manages state programs to promote business and rural community growth • Tax credits for new jobs paying average county wages • Grants to support employment opportunities and community economic development • Rural Economic Blueprint Program Supports the economic development goals and strategies of rural counties and communities • Receive consultations from GOEO outreach managers and grant administrators • Obtain grant writing tips and requirement instructions • Project compatibility and readiness review (may include site visits) • Review the draft scope of work • Advise on budget and matching funds • Report on post-awards and compliance instructions Fosters healthy and diverse rural economies • Connecting businesses and communities with other rural partners • Introduction to other state and federal funding resources and programs • Advising on the state's targeted industries
