LougheedTown Centre will soon be (temporarily) home to a library and civic community centre. The City of Burnaby has officially announced it will temporarily move the Cameron Community Centre and Library to the mall’s old H&M space, as the community centre undergoes a massive redevelopment at 9523 Cameron St. The city proposed to lease and remodel the 17,000-square-foot space on the lower level of the mall at 9855 Austin Ave., according to the city’s request for proposal (RFP) for architectural consulting. The total project budget, according to the RFP is $2.7 million.The RFP’s Continued on page 5
