Burkerts expertise in enhancing operations
We make ideas flow.
At Burkert, we are committed to supporting the mining industry with responsible and sustainable resource extraction and processing. With a team of experienced professionals and our cutting-edge equipment, we strive to meet the world's growing demand for minerals while helping mines minimise their environmental impact.
Thickeners. Thickener application to concentrate mineral slurries prior to extraction of commodities. It creates a liquid free of solids for subsequent extraction of dissolved metals, washes contaminants from mineral solids, and thickens waste slurries for disposal.

Tailings Treatment. Tailings treatment using cyanide destruction and toxicity reduction helps to process the left-over materials from the mined ore. They consist of ground rock, unrecoverable and uneconomic metals, chemicals, organic matter and effluent from the process used to extract the desired products from the ore.

Type 2380 2/2-way Bellow Control Valve
• Electro pneumatically operated process valve
• Single-acting advanced PTFE bellows providing media separation
• Fail safe mode
• For neutral and aggressive media
CIP/CIL Process. Carbon in pulp and carbon in leach processes involve extracting metals from ore by dissolving it in a solution containing cyanide and adsorbing it onto activated carbon.

Dust Suppression. Dust suppression is essential for controlling airborne particles, enhancing safety, visibility, and environmental protection.

Type 5282 Servo-assisted 2/2-way diaphragm valve
• Servo-assisted diaphragm valve up to DN65 orifice
• Separating diaphragm for aggressive and contaminated media
• Closing and opening times can be adjusted individually
• Explosion-proof versions (Cat.2)
• Service-friendly manual override
Crusher Mills. Crusher mills and ball/AG/SAG grinding mills, break down large rocks into smaller, manageable sizes. They play a vital role in the ore processing chain, facilitating the extraction of valuable minerals. These mills use mechanical force to grind or crush ore, enabling further downstream processing such as separation and concentration of desired minerals.
