OCTOBER UPDATES
Fall is upon us. We hope you were able to escape the heat this summer. Cooler weather is coming and we couldn’t be more excited! We want to thank everyone that attended our Rock-A-Hula event in September. It had been a few years since the last one and it looked like everyone enjoyed themselves. There are a few new classes that have been added to our centers. Tuttle will start a Jewelry Making Class that begins on October 4. You can find more information on page 3. Joslyn will be starting a meditation class. Calm Mind with Catherine will be on the 2nd and 4th Mondays beginning October 24. Catherine is a certified yoga and meditation practitioner for over 30 years. We are excited to have her at Joslyn. October is filled with events. We will have a presentation on Estate Planning, Trusts/Wills & Advance Directives and another on Fraud Protection, Senior Scams & Identity Theft. The Center for Health Care Rights will be at Joslyn to help you get ready for Medicare’s yearly open enrollment period. Tressa, who is a DMV Senior Driver Ombudsman, will be at Joslyn giving a presentation on DMV resources and information for older adults. Tuttle will be having a Halloween Celebration with the famous DJ JD Mate on October 31 at 10:00am. There will be costume prizes. For more information, call Tuttle at 818.238.5367. Is everyone ready to put on their dancing shoes? Optum will be sponsoring a 50’s Sock Hop Dance on November 7 so mark your calendars. We will have more info soon. Have a fun and safe Halloween!
