MAY UPDATES It is unbelievable to think that we are already into May and almost halfway through 2024! It seems like just yesterday we were getting together with friends and family to watch the ball-drop and welcoming in a new year! Since life can be fastpaced, it’s important to slow down and check in with yourself every once in a while...and what better time to do that than in Mental Health Awareness Month! May has been recognized as the month where it is crucial to be sure you are taking care of yourself. Make sure to go on walks, check in with loved ones, and do activities that make you feel relaxed. The most important and beneficial thing you can do for yourself is to be in healthy mind and spirit. Both Joslyn and Tuttle Senior Center are packing in a bunch of amazing events in May. From health presentations, to class series; there is something for everyone. We also have a welcome in order for our new “Burbank 311” app, which will allow you to request services from bulky item pickup, updates on street repairs and so much more! If there is anyone out there missing daytrips - there may be a temporary fix for that travel want. The “On the Move” program holds trips every month right out of Joslyn. They take people to places such as museums, art exhibits, outlet malls and so much more.
