What’s Inside
Fall has arrived and BVP volunteers continue to grow in number and make a significant impact with their service. We are so grateful for the 65,000+ hours our volunteers have served this year in the community. That’s a 4% increase from 2025. The value of this contribution is estimated to be over $2.74 million in the State of California. Wow!
On September 24th, we hosted our big Fall Rock-A-Hula event, and it was a tremendous success! BVP and the Parks and Recreation Aquatics division hosted over 200 senior adults who enjoyed free tacos, quesadillas, ice cream sandwiches, and refreshing beverages in a hula-themed setting, for two hours at the McCambridge Park Pool. BVP volunteers, varying generationally, were in attendance to help make this event fun and festive.
