New York City, and nearly 20,000 were in attendance. Dust off your grass skirts & Hawaiian shirts for our annual Rock-a-Hula, taking place September 28th, from 4:00 pm-6:00 pm at McCambridge Pool. You can sign up for this free 55+ event either at Joslyn Adult Center or from the comforts of your own home at www.BurbankParks.com. This fun(le’ale’a) event will have music, raffles, games, food, hula dancers, and of course swimming! We are welcoming back Calm Mind with Catherine beginning Monday, September 11th. Catherine is a certified yoga and meditation practitioner, who has been in practice for 34 years. This meditation class will introduce simple techniques to support your journey to a healthier & happier life.

Burbank University Women will also be starting back up on September 14th. BUW invites all women who have completed 60 units or more of college work to assist in promoting education and intellectual growth. Activities include monthly meetings, fundraising activities, and furnishing college scholarships to graduates of Burbank high schools.
