Coastal

A traditional coastal or Hamptons palette reflects the natural elements of the surf, sand and sky - whites, creams, greys and dark blues. For a modern coastal feel, a simple colour palette of whites and greys feels light and breezy.

Use the 60 (primary), 30 (secondary), 10 (accent) rule for a harmonious colour scheme. colour tip

For a perfect country home palette create a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere embracing earthy neutrals found in the natural landscape. Think of clean lines of a contemporary colour palette balanced with rustic accents.

colour tip

LRV (Light Reflectance Value) indicates the amount of light a colour reflects. Darker colours absorb light and heat and have a lower LRV value. Whites and lighter colours have a higher LRV value and reflect more light keeping homes cooler.
