Small Groups Life’s too short to spend it waiting around. That’s why our tours are limited to no more than 20 travellers (or 16 for in-style tours), so you can truly engage with your surroundings and fellow travellers. It’s been the Bunnik Tours philosophy since day dot. The result? Less time waiting, more time exploring — just the way travel should be.

More accommodation choice

In small groups, you get to the good stuff faster. From getting on and off vehicles, to accommodation check-ins, comfort stops and meals — everything is easier, so we can show you more of what you came to see.

Big groups are limited to large, and often impersonal, hotels. Travelling in smaller groups gives us greater choice when it comes to where you rest your head at night, including small, character-filled stays that are off-limits to large groups. We choose our hotels based on location, character and their ability to add to your holiday experience.

Our tour guides are know-it-alls, which is actually a good thing. Travelling in a small group means more time to learn from experienced guides who are eager to share their passion for their country. In other words, more opportunities to discover the secrets that only the locals know about.

Whether you’re wandering down Rio de Janeiro’s lively Copacabana Promenade or stopping to bask in the atmosphere of a Peruvian plaza on your way back to the hotel, we put you right in the heart of the action — allowing you to truly connect with the culture that’s shaped your destination, rather than wasting time caught up in traffic.

Flexibility Small groups are more flexible, so we can change the itinerary around to suit the local conditions. Even if it’s off the beaten track, we’re always down for a detour.

For logistical reasons, large groups rarely stray from the typical tourist trail. With a smaller group, we can venture to lesser-travelled areas, visiting local villages and taking part in authentic cultural experiences.

As a family of travellers at heart, for us it’s not just about clocking up countries or as simple as leading you to a destination. Of course we’ll show you the iconic attractions, but our tours dig a little deeper, taking you off the tourist trail to discover the true essence of the places you’ve been dreaming about.

Multi-night stays

Tipping is expected in many of the countries we visit and often makes up a large portion of people’s wages, so it’s important to get it right. But you don’t need to worry about that. It’s included in the cost of your tour.

Why stay one night when you can stay two? Our itineraries include multi-night stops to give you more time to take in your surroundings. It’s all about finding the balance between squeezing every bit of fun out of your time away and remembering to hit pause, relax and just be in holiday mode.

Anybody can give you a coach tour. But there’s nothing like cruising the streets of Baños in a colourful, open-air chiva or navigating the waters of Lake Titicaca — the world’s highest navigable lake — by hydrofoil. We like to mix it up when it comes to getting around, so you can experience your destination from a new perspective.

Breakfast is included daily on tour, along with group welcome and farewell dinners. We’ll also include some special culinary experiences as we explore. But as fellow travellers ourselves, we know how important it is to take your taste buds on tour, so you’ll have the freedom to eat like a local and try whatever catches your eye too.
