Boise Cascade Stock Plan
Boise Cascade Corp., Boise, Id., has established a $300 million employee stock ownership plan, partly designed to offset an anticipated decrease in medical coverage for salaried employees.
Under the ESOP. about 15% of Boise Cascade's 45 million common shares outstanding would be repurchased and allotted to salaried workers over time. Employees could not sell the shares until they retired or left the company.
