Capital Lumber received a permanent redwood plaque commemorating the outstanding sales performance, and each individual in the firm contributing to the achievement of the million foot result was presented with a personal award.
Get Free Publicity
An effective way to get free local publicity for your firm is to send copies of articles or other mentions in trade and business magazines to your local newspapers.
It is best to first make personal contact with the editor, to briefly explain your firm to him and how it relates to overall community activities. If you already do business with the paper(s) through their advertising department, suggest the idea to the advertising manager and chances are he'll take it from there.
