Bürgenstock Hotel & Alpine Spa 5* superior The Contemporary
Façade Cladding: Sediment limestone from Southern Germany The original idea was to use limestone from the Bürgenberg itself. As the process of milling this stone was no longer possible, a similar stone from the same geological period and structure was looked for. A “Wachenzeller Dolomite” – sediment stone from the late Jura/early Cretaceous periods - was found in southern Germany.
Piazza: Luserna dorée stone from the Alps with three patterns and uses This stone is meant to give a line to the resort, thus can be found throughout the entire Bürgenstock Resort, as in the Alpine Garden, around the Hollywood Pool, or as pavements in front of building entrances. The Luserna stone is a Gneiss stone, a hard Granite-like stone, very common in the Alps. The version used for the Bürgenstock Resort is a golden and iron induced, called “Luserna dorée”.
