For nearly 25 years Bryan has been a driving force behind the firm’s innovative approach to complex design challenges. Influenced by a family legacy of engineering—Bryan began his journey at Wentworth Institute of Technology.
Bryan’s diverse portfolio includes Brigham & Women’s Hale Building for Transformative Medicine, a 675,000 SF centerpiece of the campus. Equally memorable is his work on the Auerbach Center, providing a unique opportunity to contribute to a project for a historic sports team, like the Boston Celtics.
Beyond the office, Bryan finds balance on the golf course, ski slopes, and serene beaches of Cape Cod and Long Beach Island—experiences that mirror his well-rounded approach to both work and life. Bryan’s career at BR+A is a testament to his unwavering dedication and the profound impact of his early commitment to the firm.

Josh Michaud began his journey with BR+A in 2005 as a dedicated HVAC engineer. A piece of advice from his high school shop teacher sparked his passion toward pursuing engineering at UMass Lowell. Since then, Josh has evolved into a results-driven professional with a keen eye for both detail and collaboration.
Over the course of 20 years, Josh has consistently distinguished himself as a natural leader through impactful projects at P&G and Boston University’s Center for Computing & Data. Josh’s commitment to nurturing relationships founded on trust and transparency has become a cornerstone of his leadership style.
When not immersed in engineering design, Josh enjoys golfing, skiing, and poolside summer weekends with his family. With a rich blend of technical expertise and interpersonal skills, Josh is poised to excel in his new role as Principal at BR+A.

With over 6.5 years of dedicated service at BR+A, Brooke Silber has led the charge in redefining lighting design. Since joining in January 2019, she’s built a dynamic department from scratch—now a team of 17 experts operating across offices in Boston, NYC, Philly, Tampa, and Miami. Brooke’s academic foundation, with an MFA in Interior Design from Syracuse University and an MS in Lighting Design from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, beautifully integrates creative vision with technical expertise. Brooke’s career showcases transformative lighting solutions for industry giants, such as Regeneron, OSU, and UT Austin. Her portfolio also includes landmark projects, like White Plains Hospital and the Cleveland Museum of Art.
Outside of work, Brooke enriches the community as an adjunct professor at Parsons School of Constructed Environments, all while traveling the globe with family. Brooke’s journey continues to set a luminous path for the future of design and inspiring a new generation of professionals at BR+A.

Since joining BR+A in 2001, Kurt Shank’s career has been marked by an early and deep concentration in HVAC systems, a specialty that has honed his ability to blend technical precision with innovative problem-solving. After graduating Penn State, Kurt has dedicated 24 years to shaping the future of engineering at BR+A.
Throughout his career, Kurt has consistently spearheaded projects that merge functionality with impact. His leadership on the sister Soldiers’ Home projects in Chelsea and Holyoke—providing modern, state-of-theart facilities for Veterans—exemplifies his commitment to excellence and community service.
Off the clock, you’ll often find Kurt immersed in the excitement of a live sports event or plugged into his favorite tunes. This distinctive combination of specialized HVAC expertise, a lifetime of engineering insight, and his relentless drive to solve design challenges makes him an ideal fit for the role of Principal at BR+A.
