INTRODUCING

Mystical, magnetic and gloriously unhurried – Sri Lanka has arrived in the CARIBTOURS collection, and it’s every bit as enchanting as you’d imagine. This teardrop island in the Indian Ocean is a heady mix of culture, coast and creature comforts, where sunrise over misty tea fields gives way to barefoot sunsets on golden beaches.
In the island’s lush heart, Uga Ulagalla and Jetwing Vil Uyana pair eco-elegance with ancient history, while Water Garden and Jetwing Kandy Gallery offer serenity among sacred peaks and tranquil lakes. Up in the hills, Ceylon Tea Trails captures colonial charm with a dash of adventure, and The Wallawwa welcomes travellers to unwind in style before or after their island journey.
For the wild at heart, Wild Coast Tented Lodge and Uga Chena Huts promise safari thrills by the ocean’s edge. Down south, life slows to a beachside rhythm at The Fortress, AMANWELLA, Anantara Peace Haven, and The Kayam House – each a sun-drenched slice of paradise.
CURTAIN BLUFF ANTIGUA
Set between two secluded coves on a rocky outcrop hugged by the ocean, Curtain Bluff has been drawing visitors back time and time again for six decades. And now Antigua’s only Relais & Châteaux hotel is set to wow guests with a brandnew transformation following an US$11 million renovation.
All 42 of Curtain Bluff’s elegant suites, plus its restaurant Sea Grape, have had an update. Highlights include a new Caribbean-inspired colour palette in the suites, plus original artwork by London-based artist Adam Ellis, and rattan accents from UK-based Soane. The hotel’s exterior has been refreshed with crisp white and coastal blue to complement its oceanfront setting. The hotel’s celebrated restaurant Sea Grape has a brand-new bar decorated with blue and white mosaic tile with colourful bar stools to serve as a restaurant centrepiece.
“It brings me great excitement as we enter into this latest era of Curtain Bluff, with new leadership at the helm of bringing this beautiful renovation to life,” said Managing Director, Rob Sherman. “Every step of the way, we’ve prioritised balancing the resort’s storied heritage with contemporary design and amenities, ensuring that Curtain Bluff remains both timeless and forward-thinking.”

THE BAHAMAS
BAHAMAS
As the nights draw closer and the weather turns colder, cast your imagination to swaying palms, spiced rum punch, startlingly blue waters and powdery soft sand - the Bahamas ticks all the boxes for your dreamy Caribbean fantasy.
This intricate archipelago of islands features 700 islands and cays, with only 30 of them inhabited. There are underwater spectacles, vivid mangrove forests, talcum-fine beaches and intriguing culture to explore. Adventurous types can swim with sharks or dive to underwater wrecks, while those with a quieter disposition may want to soak up the sun with a cocktail in hand, or stroll around colourful arts and crafts markets.
It’s common to pick the dry season for travel which is in the winter with warm days and cooler evenings. In December, expect highs of around 25°C – 27°C, perfect for chilling on the beach or snorkelling offshore.
Popular places to visit include Nassau (see page 8-9), brimming with history and heritage and home to gorgeous beaches including Cable Beach. It’s next to Paradise Island which is where you’ll find the famous Atlantis resort among others. From the UK, you’ll usually fly straight into Lynden Pindling International Airport, right by Nassau, so it’s worth spending some time in the city before heading further afield.
Other places to visit include Andros, the largest island in the Bahamas. It’s popular with divers and hikers for its unspoiled ecosystem and natural wonders like blue holes and coral reef. There’s also some world-class deep sea and fly fishing here as well as 1.5 million acres of tidal flats and mangrove creeks you can explore by kayak.
Harbour Island is famous for its pink sand beach, elegant atmosphere and colourful clapboard houses. The shallow waters invite you in for kayaking and paddleboarding, and it’s a great place to begin exploring the islands and cays by boat. There are more underwater wrecks here than any other place in the Bahamas, so get ready for an adventure beneath the waves.
The list could go on. Pods of dolphins, flamboyant parades, high-octane waterparks, swimming pigs, awe-inspiring national parks… you’ll discover it all in the Bahamas.

amaica is the Caribbean at its most irresistible: a heady mix of soulful swagger, wild beauty and that unmistakable island rhythm. It is the perfect winter escape too, with availability pockets you will not easily find elsewhere in the Caribbean, making it a dream option for last minute sunshine seekers. Mornings start with saltfish and ackee, afternoons melt into white sand bliss, and nights pulse with reggae, soca and the laughter of locals who know how to celebrate life.
Along the island’s north coast, classic elegance shines at Jamaica Inn, a timeless hideaway with powder blue suites and old school charm. Nearby,
Round Hill offers polished plantation style glamour mixed with a warm, understated intimacy. For those craving something playful and free spirited, Couples Swept Away in Negril delivers barefoot romance on Jamaica’s finest stretch of beach, while Couples Sans Souci leans into a more secluded, grown up serenity wrapped in lush rainforest.
If you head east, the magic deepens. GoldenEye, once home to Ian Fleming, pairs laid back luxury with cinematic cool, a place where lagoon cottages and secret coves feel made for dreamers. And then there is Half Moon, a grand Jamaican icon where sweeping lawns meet crescent shaped sands
and every moment feels effortlessly refined.
Beyond the hotels, Jamaica seduces with Blue Mountain hikes, Dunn’s River Falls, rum tastings, cliff diving spectacles and the kind of cuisine, jerk chicken, fresh lobster, smoky marlin, that lingers long after your holiday ends. This is the Jamaica of legend, bold, beautiful and waiting to whisk you away this winter.
