Performing Arts Calendar Michaelmas 2026
Tuesday 22 September TBC Worcester Cathedral
Choral Evensong Members of Year 7 will take part in a Choral Evensong at the magnificent Worcester Cathedral, led by Malvern College. This is a wonderful opportunity for our pupils to sing in one of England’s most beautiful medieval cathedrals and experience the rich tradition of cathedral music. Parents are warmly invited to attend this special service.

Mini-Me Concert Our first Mini-Me Concert of the term showcases the talents of Mr Hobbs’ pupils. These informal concerts are a fantastic opportunity for young musicians to gain performance experience and share their progress with family and friends. For all parents of the pupils, please do come along and support this event.

Flute and Piano Performance Enjoy a delightful morning of flute and piano performances from Mrs Hicks’ talented pupils. These concerts are always full of confidence, musicality and achievement. For all parents of the pupils, please do come along and support this event.
Thursday 8 October 7.00pm The Everyman Theatre, Cheltenham
Annie An exciting optional theatre trip for Years 6 to 8 to see Annie at the Everyman Theatre, Cheltenham. This is a wonderful chance for pupils to experience a professional production of the musical that the School will be staging later in the year. A fantastic source of inspiration for performers and theatre lovers alike.

Mini-Me Concert Another Mini Me Concert featuring performances from Mr Curtis’ pupils. Expect a variety of musical styles and plenty of confident performances. For all parents of the pupils, please do come along and support this event.

Harvest Mass Our Harvest Mass will be led musically by the Festival Choir. Join us as we celebrate the harvest season with uplifting singing and a spirit of gratitude and community.
Wednesday 11 November TBC Chaddesley Care Café
Year 4 Performance at Chaddesley Care Café Year 4 pupils will entertain guests at the Chaddesley Care Café with a charming selection of songs and solo performances. This community event is always a favourite and provides a wonderful opportunity for pupils to share their music with others.

Remembrance Mass The Whole School Remembrance Mass is one of the most important events of the year. Featuring performances from the Orchestra, Brass Ensemble and Festival Choir, it offers a chance for the School community to come together in reflection and remembrance.

Christmas Carol Goes Wrong Years 6 to 8 will be going to the theatre for their annual festive trip to see the Christmas Carol Goes Wrong. With plenty of comic disasters and unexpected surprises, what could possibly go wrong?

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat As part of their music lessons last term, pupils in Years 2 to 5 learned all the songs from Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. They will now bring the colourful story to life in a lively performance featuring all their favourite songs. Come along and enjoy an afternoon full of singing, energy and fun. Parents are very welcome.

The Hollyberry Fayre The Hollyberry Fayre marks the start of the festive season. Pupils from Years 3 to 8 will perform throughout the day, helping to create a wonderful Christmas atmosphere. Please come along to support both the Fayre and our performers.

Performance Platform Performance Platform gives pupils an opportunity to perform solo pieces before their instrumental examinations. Expect a varied programme of impressive performances from some of our most dedicated young musicians.

Oh Yes They Did!: A Year 5 Pantomime Showcase Boo the villains, cheer the heroes, and enjoy a magical afternoon with our Year 5 performers as they share abridged versions of the most popular pantos. A perfect treat for the festive season.

Peter Pan Years 2 to 5 head off to Neverland to enjoy Peter Pan at the Birmingham Rep. A magical theatre experience full of adventure, imagination and fun.

Carols Around the Tree Join us for Carols Around the Tree as we enjoy the festive charm of the Main House. Featuring favourite Christmas carols performed by the Festival Choir, along with coffee and festive treats, it is the perfect way to begin the Christmas season.

Infinite Voices Members of Infinite Voices will entertain visitors and shoppers with a joyful programme of Christmas music. Come and enjoy a wonderful blend of festive favourites in the beautiful surroundings of Bewdley Museum.

Festival Choir The Festival Choir joins forces with Wombourne Choral Society and a professional orchestra to perform Benjamin Britten’s St Nicholas. This promises to be a truly memorable evening of very cultured music-making.

ABRSM Examination Day We wish all candidates the very best as they showcase the hard work and dedication they have put into their musical studies.

Robin Hood Our youngest pupils will be heading to the Swan Theatre in Worcester to enjoy a performance of Robin Hood. With all the classic pantomime humour, audience participation and festive magic, it promises to be a memorable outing. We are especially excited at the prospect of seeing one of our own LAMDA teachers return to the stage as the enchanting fairy.

Carol Service Our final event of the term where the Prep School comes together for a service of carols and readings based upon the Nativity of Christ. Year 3 provide a wonderful tableau, singing from all the School choirs, Brass playing. A wonderful celebration of Christmas. Followed by wine and mince pies to wish everyone a Happy Christmas and holidays.
