Every year, on 6th May, people come together and celebrate Wishbone Day - an international awareness-raising day for Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI), a rare genetic bone disorder characterised by fragile bones that break easily. It is also known as brittle bone disease. Wishbone Day aims to highlight the experiences, strengths and challenges of people living with OI.
“Brittle Bone Society (BBS) is proud to support Wishbone Day. Raising awareness of OI is crucial. By doing so you can also raise funds that are much needed to support families living with OI and helps the BBS continue its vital work.”
