Tom Lacey, Interim Director of Sport
As we begin the summer term, I am delighted to welcome you all back to what promises to be an exciting summer of sport. We have already been fortunate with the weather, which has allowed the summer programme to get off to a fantastic start. My thanks go out to our outstanding grounds staff who have been working hard for weeks.
It has been great to see competitive sport already underway this week, with both tennis and cricket cup fixtures taking place. With that early momentum, we are very much looking forward to hitting the ground running with cricket again this weekend as the summer season gets into full swing.
This term is about more than fixtures and results. It is about participation, enjoyment, teamwork, and personal development. Whether representing a team regularly, trying a new sport, or simply enjoying being active, I encourage everyone to make the most of the opportunities on offer.
A gentle reminder to parents and carers to please check our sports website regularly for up-to-date fixture information, including dates, times, and venues. If your child is unavailable for a scheduled fixture, we kindly ask that the relevant member of staff is informed as early as possible. Providing plenty of notice helps us plan effectively and ensures all teams are properly supported.
Finally, a huge thank you to all our staff who work tirelessly throughout the term to organise, coach, officiate, and support our sports programme. Their commitment and dedication play a vital role in making the summer term such a success.
I wish you all a positive, enjoyable, and successful summer term of sport. Warm regards,
Tom Lacey Interim Director of Sport
