Welcome
Welcome Message from the Head:
It is my pleasure and privilege to welcome you all to the second Bristol Grammar School Netball and Rugby 7s Tournament. We’re delighted to be hosting this annual event at our Failand sports ground, and we hope that you’ll really enjoy all that the day has to offer.
We are excited this year to have added a Girls’ U16 Rugby 7s tournament to the programme, to complement the U18 Boys’ tournament and the U19 Netball tournament.
The day promises to be a fantastic showcase of all that BGS celebrates about sport: collaboration, teamwork, camaraderie and a healthy dose of competition. We look forward to seeing the enthusiasm and commitment of all the teams taking part.
I want to thank all the staff from all the schools who have joined us today, and made today possible, and I’d like to pay particular tribute to the BGS staff who’ve put so much effort into organising and running the event. I would also like to thank our sponsors, without whom we would not have been able to run the event.
Best of luck to all the teams taking part. I am sure that – in victory or defeat – they will exemplify our BGS Sport values of teamwork, respect, kindness, integrity and rigour.
Jaideep Barot Head, Bristol Grammar School
