Message from the Head of College Dear Parents, It has been another busy and positive week at Brighton, with pupils settling confidently into the rhythm of the new school year and bringing great enthusiasm to College life. Across the College, it has been excellent to see so much purposeful learning taking place. In the Lower Prep, I was able to see pupils enjoying English and mathematics lessons, alongside art, music and dance, while higher up the school, I our sports programme has recommenced, with touch rugby returning to the large oval and our upper prep and senior pupils back in the pool, as part of swim squad training. Of course, we are now very much looking forward to our full programme of co-curricular activities beginning next week. It was also a great pleasure to both meet new parents and to see so many familiar faces again at this week’s parent information evenings across both the Prep and Senior Schools. These occasions are an important opportunity to explain what lies ahead and to strengthen the partnership between home and school that helps ensure every pupil can thrive. Message from the Head of Prep Dear Brighton College Community, It has been another busy and positive week in the Prep School, and I would like to begin by thanking everyone who joined us for our Welcome to Year Group Evenings. It was wonderful to see so many parents there and to have the opportunity to share more about the year ahead. Most importantly, these evenings are a chance to continue building the strong partnership between home and school that makes such a difference to our children. Across Prep School, the children continue to settle brilliantly into the new academic year. It has been lovely to see their confidence growing as they become familiar with new teachers, classmates and routines. There is already a real sense of purpose around the school, alongside plenty of smiles, laughter and excitement, exactly the balance we want to see. Our Mandarin sets as well as our Year 5 and Year 6 Maths and English sets are now also up and running, with pupils meeting their teachers and settling into their new classes. A great deal of work has gone on behind the scenes to make sure children are placed in groups that allow them to be appropriately supported and challenged, and it has been fantastic to see them getting started. I have also been delighted to see nearly 1000 Pelican Points awarded already this term across the Prep School. These recognise the many moments of kindness, perseverance, enthusiasm and positive contribution that happen across our school every day. I am always particularly pleased when I hear children proudly sharing why they have received one! Next week brings another exciting milestone as our Co-Curricular Activities begin. CCAs are such an important part of school life, giving children opportunities to discover new interests, develop their talents and enjoy spending time with friends beyond the classroom. With CCAs beginning, there will be two afternoon bus departures: our usual buses at 3.40pm and CCA buses at 4.40pm on activity days. Please do take a moment to check your child’s arrangements and ensure that anyone collecting is clear about timings and collection points. Thank you, as always, for your continued support. Brighton Talks An interactive parent workshop exploring how children develop communication, language and early literacy skills. Parents will gain practical strategies to support speech and language development at home, including for bilingual and multilingual children, alongside an introduction to our Read Write Inc. Phonics programme and how phonics and early reading are taught at Brighton College (Singapore). Kindly register your interest here. Brighton College (Singapore) Orchestra CCA The Brighton College Orchestra CCA meets for the first time this academic year, this coming Wednesday, 9 September 2026, at 3:40pm in D101 (Music Department). All orchestral instrumentalists are welcome to join, provided they have an instrument where they already can read music and play. Brighton College (Singapore) Senior Choir Mr Godsman (Head of Senior Music) is keen to establish a regular choir rehearsal for all pupils who enjoy singing together and want to perform at college concerts and external events. New to Brighton? Join us for Coffee and Connect Families who are new to Brighton College (Singapore) this year are warmly invited to our first Coffee & Connect of the new academic year. Join us at the Parent Café at EVL, Level 2 on Friday, 11 September 2026, from 9:15am – 10:15am for a coffee and an opportunity to meet other new parents and members of the Brighton community. It’s a relaxed chance to connect, share how your first few weeks at Brighton have been and ask any questions as you settle into school life. 6

Class and Pupil photography sessions The school will be conducting class and individual photography between 14 - 16 September. Please ensure that your children are smartly attired during these three days in school. The photographs will be ready for purchase in mid-November 2026. Sibling Photography On the same days, the photography team will be offering services for sibling photography for all siblings enrolled in the school, between 4:00pm to 5:00pm. Parents who wish to have their children photographed together must register at the links below and take note of where to bring their children after school dismissal for the session. Spaces are limited so do book early to get your preferred time slot: If your oldest child is in Year 4 or lower, register HERE. Photography will take place at Early Learning Village Level 5, Rabbit Pod, Room 1 If your oldest child is in Year 5 or higher, register HERE. Important Notices & Events LAMDA at Brighton College (Singapore) Congratulations to Brighton College Singapore’s 2025/2026 LAMDA learners for achieving remarkable results across all levels and examinations. We are delighted to announce that sign-ups for the upcoming 2026/2027 season are now open.Here at Brighton College Singapore, we offer a wide variety of LAMDA programmes, starting from Year 1 onwards. We are delighted to share that for 2026/2027, we are offering MUSICAL THEATRE THURSDAYS for our one-to-one and duo learners, starting from Year 4. Find a friend and take to the stage together, or bask in the spotlight with a solo performance! These sessions offer learners the opportunity to explore musical theatre in a more personalised setting while developing their performance skills. For our younger students, we offer Introductory Stage 1 to Stage 3 classes tailored for Year 1 to Year 3 students. From Year 4 onwards, learners can explore options including Acting, Speaking in Public, Speaking in Verse and Prose, Musical Theatre and Reading for Performance. You can read more about the LAMDA exams here. For our Year 10s and above, our Medal Grade Acting programme are now available both as one to ones (fixed slots subject to availability) via CCA, which offers an exciting pathway for those looking to take their performance to the next level. LAMDA Medal Grades can contribute UCAS points and are also recognised as an eligible activity (under skills) for the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. We also offer LAMDA Group Acting/ Devising as well as Acting for Seniors CCAs across different year groups at Brighton College Singapore. These are separate from our one-to-one and duo programmes and are available for sign-up directly through the school. Our LAMDA programmes culminate in an examination at the end of the academic year, conducted by a live LAMDA examiner on-site at Brighton College (Singapore). Please note that examination fees are separate from tuition fees and will be communicated once examination registration has been finalised. Our progammes practice a term on term enrolment, where we roll our learners on to the next term unless a month’s notice is given. All programmes lead to exams and registration will be finalized in early Jan / Feb 2027. Spaces for our one-to-one and duo programmes are limited, so we encourage you to

An Oustanding IGCSE Result Congratulations to Amaria Peel on scoring a Grade 9, the highest grade possible, in IGCSE Spanish this summer! Furthermore, she achieved it a year ahead of schedule. As the first Brighton College (Singapore) pupil to receive an IGCSE examination result, this is a lovely milestone for our school. Amaria had no Spanish-speaking family background prior to embarking on this subject, making her achievement all the more special. Her result reflects her hard work, determination and enthusiasm for languages, flourishing under the tutelage of Nicoletta Veronese, Head of Modern Foreign Languages at Brighton College (Singapore).
A Highly Successful Meet The Teacher Event Our PCP / PCS Meet the Teacher event was a fantastic success, with classrooms filled with enthusiastic parents who were eager to meet the team, learn more about their children’s experiences and connect with one another. It was wonderful to see new friendships being formed and to hear such thoughtful and insightful questions from our parent community. A huge thank you goes to the fabulous PCP and PCS team, who supported parents with a wide range of questions, from our bespoke weekly reporting structure and upcoming graduations to uniforms, bus schedules and everything in between. The ladies demonstrated an impressive depth of knowledge, professionalism and confidence, ensuring that parents felt listened to, reassured and well supported. The positive atmosphere throughout the event was a real reflection of the strong sense of community we are building together. We are incredibly proud of the team and grateful to all the parents who joined us and helped make the evening such a memorable success.

Celebrating our Senior School Academic Scholars
We are delighted to recognise our new and legacy Senior School Academic Scholars across Year 7 to Year 12, each of whom has demonstrated considerable academic strength and successfully completed a rigorous scholarship assessment process. Our Scholars are recognised not simply for high attainment, but for the qualities that underpin scholarship at Brighton: intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, independence and a genuine love of learning. We want our Scholars to ask thoughtful questions, explore ideas beyond the curriculum and inspire others through their enthusiasm for learning. As members of our Scholar’s Society, our Academic Scholars will take part in a programme of academic enrichment, research and discussion, developing their skills as thinkers, researchers and academic leaders within our Senior School community. The Scholar’s Society CCA is open to all Senior School pupils, giving every pupil the opportunity to engage in these fantastic opportunities.
