Message from the Head of College Dear Parents, Welcome to the first Whole College Newsletter of the academic year. Each week, it will celebrate what has been happening across the College, while also sharing reminders about forthcoming events and activities. It has been wonderful to welcome our pupils back and to see the energy and enthusiasm with which they have approached the new term. With new pupils, colleagues, facilities and routines, the purposeful and positive way in which our community has begun the year has been enormously encouraging. This week, I had the opportunity to speak at four assemblies across the College, addressing pupils in Lower Prep, Upper Prep, Senior School and the Sixth Form. This allowed me to welcome many of our pupils back to school and reiterate the importance of our values of curiosity, confidence and kindness. I reminded them that the small choices we make each day shape our habits and that these habits, in turn, create the culture of our College. We explored how each new academic year gives us a fresh opportunity to work together to build a community that is collaborative, ambitious and enjoyable for everyone. Certainly, there is much to look forward to this term, including the opening of further new facilities and a busy programme of academic, sporting, creative and community events. Please do take a moment each week to read the forthcoming dates and reminders in this newsletter. Message from the Head of Prep Dear Brighton College Community, It has been wonderful to see the Prep School come fully back to life at the start of the new academic year. There has been such positive energy around the College, and I have particularly enjoyed seeing our pupils reconnecting with friends, getting to know new classmates and teachers, and settling into the routines and expectations of their new year groups. It has also been a real pleasure to see familiar faces from last year’s Year 6 now making their way around the College as Senior School pupils. Having had the privilege of being their Form Teacher last year, I have especially enjoyed seeing them embrace this next stage with growing confidence and independence. It is a lovely reminder that, while they may have moved on from Prep, they remain very much part of our wider Brighton College community. There is always a great deal that is new at the beginning of a school year, but I have been impressed by the enthusiasm with which our pupils have approached these first days. From our youngest pupils finding their feet to our older pupils taking on greater independence and responsibility, there is already much to celebrate. A couple of reminders As we settle into our usual routines, I would be grateful for parents’ support with two important reminders. Hats and blazers: With the Singapore heat and sunshine, all Prep pupils must have a Brighton College hat in school for outdoor play. From next week, we will be reinforcing our “No Hat, No Play” expectation, with pupils without their College hat remaining in a shaded area during outdoor playtimes. Pupils should also have their College blazer in school, ready for assemblies, special visitors and College events. Please ensure both items are clearly named. Morning drop-off: Now that pupils are becoming familiar with their new routines, we ask that parents leave the playground promptly after morning drop-off. This supports children in beginning their day independently and allows staff to focus fully on welcoming and supervising pupils. If you would like to remain on site a little longer, the Parent Café provides a welcoming space to meet other parents and enjoy a coffee. Looking Ahead One of my priorities this year is continuing to strengthen the partnership between school and home. Our children thrive when they know that the adults around them are working together, and I am looking forward to getting to know many more of our Prep families. Next week provides a particularly good opportunity through our Welcome to the Year Group events. I hope as many parents as possible will join us. These sessions are an opportunity to meet the team working with your child, understand more about the year ahead, and hear about the learning and opportunities they can look forward to. Above all, I want our pupils to come to school each day feeling happy, known, challenged and excited about their learning. Coffee and Connect New to Brighton? Join us for Coffee & Connect on 11 September 2026 If you’re new to Brighton this year, I’d love to welcome you to our first Coffee & Connect of the new academic year. Once you’ve seen the children off for the morning, swing by to the Parent Cafe at ELV, Level 2 on Friday, 11 September, from 9.15 – 10.15am for a coffee and a chance to meet other new parents and say hello. It’ll be lovely to meet you, hear how your first few weeks at Brighton have been and help with any questions you may have as you settle into the school community.

Brighton Talks An interactive parent workshop exploring how children develop communication, language and early literacy skills. Parents will gain practical strategies to support speech and language development at home, including for bilingual and multilingual children, alongside an introduction to our Read Write Inc. Phonics programme and how phonics and early reading are taught at Brighton College (Singapore). Kindly register your interest here. Reminder: Everyday School Meal System A reminder that Brighton has now moved from Campus Online to Everyday for school meal ordering. Parents can use Everyday to top up their child’s digital wallet, pre-order meals, view meal purchases and manage allergen information. If you have not yet activated or accessed your Everyday account, please refer to the Everyday User Guide and FAQs for step-by-step instructions. (embed link for the attached 2 documents) Any remaining balance from Campus Online will be transferred across to Everyday. If your balance is not yet showing, please be assured that the funds are secure and will appear once the transfer is complete. 6

Brighton Society Quiz Night Brighton Society Quiz Night – Save the Date! Calling all new parents and our existing Brighton families too! Join us for a fun evening at the Brighton Society Quiz Night on Friday, 18 September at The British Club. It’s a great chance to meet other parents, get to know some new faces and put your general knowledge to the test along the way! More details and sign-up information will follow soon. Important Notices & Events LAMDA at Brighton College (Singapore) Congratulations to Brighton College Singapore’s 2025/2026 LAMDA learners for achieving remarkable results across all levels and examinations. We look forward to celebrating with you all at the official certification evening on the 15th September- more information to be shared soon. We are delighted to announce that sign-ups for the upcoming 2026/2027 season are now open. Here at Brighton College Singapore, we offer a wide variety of LAMDA programmes, starting from Year 1 onwards. We are delighted to share that for 2026/2027, we are offering MUSICAL THEATRE THURSDAYS for our one-to-one and duo learners, starting from Year 4. Find a friend and take to the stage together, or bask in the spotlight with a solo performance! These sessions offer learners the opportunity to explore musical theatre in a more personalised setting while developing their performance skills. For our younger students, we offer Introductory Stage 1 to Stage 3 classes tailored for Year 1 to Year 3 students. From Year 4 onwards, learners can explore options including Acting, Speaking in Public, Speaking in Verse and Prose, Musical Theatre and Reading for Performance. You can read more about the LAMDA exams here. For our Year 10s and above, our Medal Grade Acting programme are now available both as one to ones (fixed slots subject to availability) via CCA, which offers an exciting pathway for those looking to take their performance to the next level. LAMDA Medal Grades can contribute UCAS points and are also recognised as an eligible activity (under skills) for the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. We also offer LAMDA Group Acting/ Devising as well as Acting for Seniors CCAs across different year groups at Brighton College Singapore. These are separate from our one-to-one and duo programmes and are available for sign-up directly through the school. Our LAMDA programmes culminate in an examination at the end of the academic year, conducted by a live LAMDA examiner on-site at Brighton College (Singapore). Please note that examination fees are separate from tuition fees and will be communicated once examination registration has been finalised. Our progammes practice a term on term enrolment, where we roll our learners on to the next term unless a month’s notice is given. All programmes lead to exams and registration will be finalized in early Jan / Feb 2027. Spaces for our one-to-one and duo programmes are limited, so we encourage you to secure your place by following the link. For further information, please feel free to contact us. Important Notices & Events Prep ACSIS Sport Fixtures – SchoolBuddy This academic year, SchoolBuddy will be used to help streamline sports fixture communication across the school. For Prep ACSIS Sport, parents will continue to receive initial team and season information via iSAMS. Once fixtures begin, fixture details and team selections will be sent through SchoolBuddy. Parents will need to accept or decline each fixture and provide consent through SchoolBuddy before their child can attend. Please keep an eye out for SchoolBuddy notifications as our Season 1 fixtures get underway in the coming weeks.
