3 Generations of Handcrafted Furniture

1977

P.J. Bridgman & Co. Ltd was formed by Peter Bridgman.

1982

Manufacturing of reproduction chairs began in 1982. Bridgman has been dedicated to quality from the fist day.

1983

Bridgman relocated its head office to Enfiel in North London, one of the leading places to manufacture furniture in the UK at the time.

1989

We began manufacturing outdoor furniture in the UK, featuring a unique carved design. Bridgman invented new methods of production and designed appealing, comfortable and durable furniture.

1990

Exhibitied at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show for the fist time. A 30-year tradition of showcasing new products and collections begins.

1996-2003

Bridgman furniture started to be recognised. Pictured is the Royal Family sitting comfortbaly on our reproduction chairs.

2004

We become the fist company in the UK to supply Premium Rattan Furniture.

2005

Bridgman Enfield opens, the UK’s largest luxury garden furniture showroom.

2010

The introduction of the UK’s fist and only fully waterproof and stain-resistant cushions.

2013

Our second premium showroom opens in Walton-on-Thames.

2015

With a growing team and customer base, new offices and additional warehouse space is built.

2020

Bridgman launch the fist collection of home furniture collectionsCasual Dining.

2021

The launch of our Premium Sofa Collections, handmade to order specially for you.

2024

Very pleased with the all round service. Delivery was actually earlier than expected. Delivery team were professional and removed all wrapping from site. Delighted with the furniture. The quality is excellent. I was nervous leaving the cushions out in the rain for the first time but true to their claims no water penetrated the cushions. After the rain I just had to brush off the excess water and they were ready to use again. Very happy
