Since opening in 1996, The Bridgewater Hall has established itself as an iconic international venue and a key feature of the Manchester music scene, proud to boast an eclectic programme that embraces all forms of artistic excellence, from rock and pop to jazz and classical, and increasingly spoken word.
Hosting more than 300 performances per year, the auditorium itself was purpose-built to provide the best possible acoustic conditions in which to enjoy live music. This commitment to quality extends across all that we do here at the Hall, from our learning programmes to private events, and now our brand-new membership packages: a unique opportunity to align yourself with our discerning support of the arts.

With three tiers of membership to choose from, plus the freedom to design a bespoke package specifically tailored to your needs, it’s a chance to support the venue, enjoy the variety of concerts we host, entertain clients or staff, and benefit from various branding and marketing opportunities. Read on for further information about how membership might work for you.

Learning and Participation Activity
The Bridgewater Hall Singers
The Bridgewater Hall Singers are a community choir based at The Bridgewater Hall. Led by Simply Singing CIC (community interest company), the Singers learn a wide variety of songs from around the world, including contemporary and traditional music. Throughout the year, Singers can perform at venues across Manchester, link up with other choirs and take part in events at the Hall. Simply Singing are also BreathChamps, therefore rehearsals often have a focus on lung health and signing for wellbeing.
Live at Lunchtime
A series of free, Friday lunchtime performances in the Stalls Foyer running from May to September each year. The programme presents a diverse range of contemporary jazz, classical, pop, and folk music from around the world. Live at Lunchtime has a focus on supporting local, up and coming artists – providing them with a professional platform, whilst also offering local audiences free access to live music.
International Concert Series
Education Project
Each year we run a bespoke composition project with local schools and colleges inspired by a concert from The Bridgewater Hall’s International Concert Series. In workshops led by composer Jonathan James, students use different compositional techniques to create their own piece of new music inspired by a performance in the series. The students then perform their piece at the Hall, attend a Q&A with the performing orchestra and watch the concert afterwards. Recent collaborations include: Iceland Symphony Orchestra (2023), Manchester Collective (2024), London Philharmonic Orchestra (2025).

Music Makers
Our hugely popular Music Makers workshops invite babies and toddlers to enjoy creative sensory play and music. Each session is inspired by either a much-loved piece of classical music or a specific genre.
Be Hear Now
Our relaxed musical discovery sessions for children and young people with special education needs and disabilities. Each session features a professional music ensemble from Live Music Now.
Be Hear Now in the Community
Led by Beth Bishop and Alice Phelps, each year we work with an adult day service in Greater Manchester to deliver our much loved Be Hear Now workshops to adults with learning disabilities. Participants can enjoy exploring live music, creativity and movement together, inspired by performances from Live Music Now’s professional music ensembles. Working in partnership with Omni Music, participants are invited to the Hall to showcase their musical talents in a relaxed, celebratory showcase.
Community Members Scheme & Community Members Day
The Community Members Scheme offers free and discounted tickets for International Concert Series performances and other concerts, reduced price tours of the building, and invitations to activities, workshops, and special events at the Hall. It’s free, and available to charities, CICs and voluntary groups in Greater Manchester. Our Community Members Day is an event dedicated to celebrating and engaging with our Community Members at The Bridgewater Hall. This could include free activity such as singing and song writing workshops, building tours, and creative consultation.
