Best of market

High Point Market hummed with activity last month. Many new products referenced traditional design elements, such as turned wood, fringe skirts and floral upholstery; others leaned more rustic and rough-hewn, while still others had a more botanical bent. Our Best of Market section looks at these trends, highlights our editor’s picks from market, and captures the social scene in High Point last month.

The Odette showroom was a destination to see at High Point Market. The company debuted many new products that included artwork, case goods, upholstery and accessories.

Picks Editor’s

From mixed-media artwork to handcrafted lighting, mirrors and rugs, here are 10 products that caught our attention and earned a HAT tag at last month’s High Point Market.

1 JULIAN CHICHESTER

Julian Chicester's Bow chest is made of limed French oak with a red leather top. Its distinctive look, from its red leather top to the exaggerated curve that emphasized the wood grain, was an interesting new take on a traditional piece.

2 DESIGN PHILIPPINES

From afar, the colored bands tell a stripe story. Close up, you can appreciate the delicate framework of each individual leaf.

3

CURREY & COMPANY

Vietnamese eggshell artwork is a traditional lacquer technique involving intricate mosaic designs made from crushed duck eggshells, often combined with lacquer, gold or silver leaf. Currey & Company displays this expert craftsmanship in its Tessera mirror in cream and black, where each piece is laid by hand.

7 MOMENI

Momeni‘s Alfresco rug collection is hand-tufted and printed in India using PET material. One of the designs features beautiful swans on a lake; others include butterflies, a floral scene and a woodland area. With its soft palette and muted colors, these rugs truly are artwork for the floor.

8 INTERLUDE

HOME

Interlude Home’s Olivia chair in walnut outdid itself with texture and style. Covered in Donghia line bark fabric, the seat deserved to be recognized as one of the best at market.

Sponsored: Ann Gish Debuts New Collaboration with The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Ann Gish, the luxury bed linens brand known for its exquisite fabrics, detailing, and quality construction, is debuting a new collection of designs as part of its longstanding collaboration with The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Following the success of 5 years of The Met x Ann Gish luxury linens, the new line will target an accessible price point under Gish’s successful Ready-to-Bed program while maintaining the quality and unique design for which the collaboration collection has become known. First launched at High Point Market in fall 2021, the collection now comprises over 30 suites. Each bedding set interprets works of art in The Met collection through an inventive combination of color, motif, and techniques which range from linen embroideries to silk prints and jacquards. In fall 2025, Ann Gish debuted a new program aimed at furniture stores, under the existing Ann Gish Readyto-Bed collection. "Designing these collections has offered a unique creative challenge to share the beauty of history and culture through the lens of design. I am passionate that expanding to Ready-to-Bed will allow a broader audience to engage with our collaboration," said Jane Gish, CEO of Ann Gish. The Met x Ann Gish Sets collection debuted three comforter sets in four colors for Spring Market: Sinan, based on 16th century tile panel from Turkey; Sensu, based on an Edo-period Japanese cotton panel and available in two colors; and Medallion, based on a 16th century Egyptian carpet. “The Met

mission emphasizes a goal to connect people to art, creativity, and each other,” said Josh Romm, Head of Global Licensing and Partnerships at The Met. “Expanding into this new tier of the bedding category with a respected collaborator like Ann Gish allows us to continue sharing the beauty of The Met collection, now inviting a broader audience to connect with the stories Jane and her team tell so elegantly through designs for the home.” Founded by Ann Gish in 1991, her products can be found in the finest home stores, specified by leading interior designers and featured in hotels worldwide.
