HI everyone and welcome to issue 288.

Well, Autumn is officially here. Our next special day will be St.Patricks Day which will be Tuesday the 17th of March. Which of course means the Easter Bunny will be here before you know it. I see the chocolate eggs and bunnies already adorning the shelves of the supermarkets, getting all the kids excited I'm sure.

You will see on page 4 our upcoming events list has grown as we have may great shows coming up around the venues. I suggest you keep your eye out for big events at the Sandstone Point Hotel just so you are aware of expected traffic delays on that day due to the Hotel becoming more popular with visitors every year

I would like to give a shout out to anyone that knows a volunteer in our community that goes above and beyond. Often, they are the quiet achievers that don't do it for recognition but It is nice to be recognised for their efforts. If you know of someone you would like to see thanked in the magazine one week, please contact me so we can do a story on them and share their good will.

Thank you also to everyone that contributed to our Clean up Australia Day efforts, I was away last weekend but my friends and I did help do a clean up in the country town where we were staying. Then on the long drive home we did see some people on the side of the roads doing litter collection. Keep Australia beautiful folks. It always amazes me how many people I see walk past litter on the walkway into our shopping centre and just ignore it, maybe this is why I have a bad back as I just automatically bend and pick up rubbish all the time when I see it. I guess it was how I was raised. So, if you are young and still reasonably fit, maybe next time you see a packet or paper on the ground, be an example to others and pick it up. Cheers

Until next week, stay safe.
