Manyotherslikemyselflovetogazeatthisopendometeemingwith existentialvastness,findingjoyinviewingvariousstarsand constellationsTheNorthStar,Polaris,hasalwaysparticularlyinterested me.Fromitsshiningspotonthetipofthe"LittleDipper"constellation, toitsdeepermeaningoffreedomandwonderforsomanyInthiswork, Isoughttocapturethesparkling,shining,natureofthestarandthe etherealauraoneexperienceswhenlookingatthesheermajestyofthe nightsky.Beginningwithasimplerisingtheme,thepiecequicklygives waytomanysparklingharmoniccolorsandrhythmicgenturesIwanted toinvitethelistenerintoavast,suspendedopenworldofmystery, introspection,andeffervescentlight.
