The Community Awards Luncheon is always a highlight of the year, and this one was no exception.Thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating the businesses, organizations and individuals who make Lander such a vibrant and resilient community.Your support and enthusiasm are what make this event so meaningful.
Congratulations to this year’s award recipients: Country Charm and Tammy Logue (Beautification); Anthony Prate of Rock Shop Inn (Rookie of the Year); Future Business Leaders of America – LVHS (Spirit of Lander); Tom Davis of Fremont Therapy Group (Past Chairman recognition); Dr. Mike Wiedeman (Ambassador of the Year); Wind River Home Oxygen (Anchor Award); and Monte Richardson (Lifetime Contribution, posthumously).
Each of the recipients represents the dedication and spirit that continue to shape Lander’s future.
As we look ahead to summer, there’s a renewed sense of energy in the air. Warmer days bring busier streets, longer evenings and a season full of opportunity for our business community.
The Chamber looks forward to supporting you in the months ahead, welcoming visitors, celebrating local successes and helping our community thrive.

Here’s to a strong and vibrant summer in Lander. We're glad to be in it together. EXECUTIVE
Grand Altitude Federal Credit Union stands as more than just a financial institution—it is a reflection of the community it serves. Built on a mission of empowering members and strengthening local connections, Grand Altitude has grown alongside Lander, guided by a commitment to service, trust, and meaningful impact.

Lander itself plays a vital role in shaping the credit union’s identity. Known for its welcoming spirit and strong sense of community, the town provides an ideal foundation for Grand Altitude’s people-first approach. The organization embraces this environment wholeheartedly, striving to make a tangible difference in the lives of those who live, work, and play there. As Grand Altitude continues to grow, its mission and vision remain focused on creating real, positive impacts throughout the community.
Workplace Culture & Team Values
What truly sets Grand Altitude apart is its internal culture—one that prioritizes employees as the driving force behind exceptional service. The organization fosters an employee-centric environment where every voice matters and team members feel valued, respected, and empowered. This philosophy translates directly into better service for members and a stronger connection to the community.
Several unique aspects define their workplace culture:
Employee-centric values that ensure every team member feels heard and appreciated
Paid time off for birthdays and work anniversaries, encouraging meaningful personal time
A staff-led Culture Committee that helps shape and maintain an authentic workplace environment
A strong sense of genuine connection, where team members celebrate successes and support one another through challenges
This culture reflects a shared commitment to excellence and reinforces the credit union’s role as a trusted community partner.
Grand Altitude Federal Credit Union offers a wide range of financial solutions designed specifically with the needs of Lander, Fremont County in mind. Their approach goes beyond traditional banking by combining accessible products with education and personalized support.
Reasons to Reach Out to Grand Altitude Federal Credit Union:
Affordable, transparent financial products tailored to individuals, businesses, and agricultural needs
Financial education resources that empower members to make confident, informed decisions
Dedicated support for local businesses and agricultural operations
Youth agriculture loan programs, including 0% interest loans for FFA and 4-H participants

Fraud prevention tools to help members navigate an increasingly complex financial landscape
One particularly impactful program is their support for youth in agriculture. By offering 0% interest loans for fair animals, Grand Altitude provides young participants with hands-on financial experience. These students meet with loan officers, develop budgets, and learn how credit works from start to finish—building strong financial habits early in life.
Community engagement is at the heart of everything Grand Altitude does. Their commitment to giving back is evident through both organizational initiatives and the personal involvement of their team members.
Staff and volunteers dedicate countless hours to local service organizations, foundations, and youth sports, helping strengthen the fabric of Lander. Each branch supports a community food pantry that is free and accessible to anyone in need. All branches also offer a Free Little Library to encourage literacy and connection among residents.
In 2023, the launch of the Gold Bison Foundation expanded the credit union’s ability to serve even more community members. The foundation focuses on supporting youth, military personnel, first responders, and local initiatives. One meaningful example includes purchasing a youth-raised animal at the Fremont County Fair, having it processed, and donating the meat to a local food pantry—addressing food insecurity in a direct and impactful way.
What makes Grand Altitude Federal Credit Union truly unique is its identity as more than just a credit union—it is a dedicated community partner. Its member-focused approach, deep investment in local well-being, and strong culture of service set it apart in meaningful ways.
The team at Grand Altitude isn’t just serving Lander—they are Lander. They live in the community, raise their families there, volunteer their time, and participate in the traditions that make the area special. This deep connection fuels their passion and ensures that every decision they make reflects the needs and values of the people they serve.
Through a combination of financial expertise, genuine care, and community involvement, Grand Altitude Federal Credit Union continues to make a lasting impact—helping Lander thrive today and for generations to come.

Intermountain Health does not offer memberships.
But we do have a robust financial assistance program. If you’re concerned about paying your medical transport bill with Intermountain Health, we encourage you to reach out—we’re here to help.
At Intermountain Health, we do not offer medical transport memberships — and you don’t need one.
Thanks to the No Surprises Act of 2022, you are protected from unexpected or excessive air medical bills. Whether you’re flown by an in-network or out-of-network provider, you’re only responsible for your usual insurance amounts like a deductible or copay — no surprise bills.

In an emergency, all you need to know is to call 911.
Medical Transport companies don’t self-dispatch, so you can’t choose which provider responds. In an emergency, the closest available provider will be sent.
• If you’re not insured--no one in need of emergency care will ever be denied treatment because they don’t have insurance or can’t pay.
• If you’re insured--your air transport is treated like any emergency medical service.
• You only pay your normal deductible, coinsurance, or copay.
• Even if you’re flown by an out-of-network provider, you won’t be billed more than your plan allows.
• There’s no need to pay extra for membership programs — you’re already covered.
Caring for those who can’t afford care is central to our mission. Intermountain Health offers financial assistance to individuals who have received medical care in Intermountain clinics, hospitals and services. The program is available for medical care that a medical provider decides is needed – including medical transport.

MYTH: “I don’t have insurance, so a medical transport membership is my best option”
TRUTH: Many membership programs require that the member has primary health insurance coverage, otherwise they do not qualify for the program.
MYTH: “I need a membership to avoid big air medical bills.”
We encourage patients to reach out with any billing questions or concerns. Our team is committed to helping patients understand the costs associated with their transport and ensuring a smooth billing process.
The fastest and easiest way to reach our billing team is by email at CAM-billing@imail.org.
Patients can also call 801-295-5700 and select “billing” from the menu.

TRUTH: You’re protected by the No Surprises Act, which prevents unexpected bills for emergency air transport. Plus, Intermountain Health offers a Financial Assistance Program to help those who qualify.
MYTH: “Air medical transport happens often, so I should be prepared.”
TRUTH: It’s rare. Only 0.17% of the U.S. population needs medical transport services each year. CAM-billing@imail.org 801-295-5700
