CHILDREN Children under 18 yrs. old are not permitted in any Liberty Adult Education class unless specifically authorized.

**Medical Office Procedures Using Medisoft Electronic Health Record Software
This newly updated self-paced course begins with a short tutorial on the Medisoft software which will teach the student how to enter patient demographics, billing information, procedure and diagnostic codes, etc. This tutorial will then be the basis for completing the office procedures section of the course through several days of simulations. Additionally, concepts such as triage, reporting, banking, travel arrangements, charting, proofreading, and critical thinking exercises. This course would be excellent preparation for students wanting to work as receptionists or administrative assistants in all areas of the medical community. If you are looking to brush up on your reading, writing, and math skills prior to entering one of our Adult Basic Education (ABE) programs, to increase your employability or move up in your current career, or to prepare for your college education, this is the class for you. ATA gives you the proper foundation for all of your future goals. This teacher-led class will include lecture, hands on exercises, as well as blended learning opportunities in our computer lab. Sometimes we all have to brush up on our academic skills such as Language Arts (Reading/Writing), Social Studies, Science, and Math, whether enrolling for personal reasons to help the kids with their homework, or to prepare for the GED Test Preparation Class. This class will offer the practice needed on the academic disciplines, as well as practice using the computer in the computer lab each week, or enhancing the skills you already have on the computer. You will be working with two programs in the Computer Lab: LearnZillion (Language Arts, Science, Social Studies) and CatchupMath.com. So come on down and register Today! Textbook required (15 students minimum requirement.) Class Dates: January 9-June 2, 2017 – This is an Open Entry/Open Exit class. New Students and returning students not enrolled by the 1st week of classes will be required to attend an orientation meeting and take a placement test prior to starting class.
