Kent-Jameson Ehrman (Vincent van Gogh)
Kent-Jameson Ehrman has been acting on the stage, in musical theatre and in film for fifteen years. In all that time, he has had the honor to perform in roles ranging from the curious Jack from Into the Woods, the charismatic Ned Alleyn in Shakespeare In Love, the caring Father of Eurydice, the tortured Arthur Roeder in Radium Girls, and the enigmatic Sherlock Holmes in Ken Ludwig’s Baskerville Now he is delighted to be able to work alongside Breckenridge Backstage Theatre for their production of Inventing Van Gogh.
Brendan O’Hara (Dr. Jonas Miller/Dr. Paul Gachet)
Brendan O’Hara is delighted to be returning to the stage after years of playing music wherever and whenever the opportunity presents itself! Brendan lives right here in Breck with his incredible wife Dr. Clarice Sage, medical director for Breckenridge, Keystone and Copper Mountain. With a lifelong passion for bringing written words to life- Brendan’s focus and career has been played out on the piano, guitar, and through his voice as a singer/songwriter but now a life long dream is realized working with this wonderful team at Breckenridge Backstage Theater. Shannon Foley (Hallie Miller/Marguerite Gachet)
Shannon Foley is excited to return to the stage at Breckenridge after a several year hiatus since The Beauty Queen of Leenane. In the interim, she has performed on cruise ships around the world, as well as Colorado productions such as Cirque Dreams, and Elf The Musical She is thrilled to return to one of her favorite theatres to get to explore the interesting and insightful show that is Inventing Van Gogh.



Felix Mayes (Rene Bouchard / Paul Gaugin)
Felix Mayes is a Chicago-based artist, game-master, and puppeteer. Credits include: Airness (Breckenridge Backstage Theatre), The Old Country Landy (Steppenwolf), No Blue Memories (Manual Cinema), House of the Exquisite Corpse (Rough House), Nevermind It’s Nothing (Chicago Slam Works), and too much Shakespeare to list.
Rebecca Blitstein (Female Understudy)
Rebecca Blitstein is a Leadville-based, Buena Vista-born performer and is thrilled to be joining the cast of Inventing Van Gogh!

Tania Barrenechea (Scenic Designer)

Playhouse Theatre at Penn State University: A Little Night Music, A Year with Frog and Toad, To Kill a Mockingbird. BArch: Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru, MFA: The Pennsylvania State University. Tania lives in Conway, AR with her 3 loves, husband Anthony, and dogs Zola and Bruni. This is Tania’s first time working with Backstage Theatre!
Rachel Fields (Lighting Designer)
Rachel Fields is excited to be joining Breckenridge Backstage Theatre for her first show here. She is a Colorado-based lighting designer and a graduate from University of Colorado Boulder. Previous design credits include: Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Candlelight Dinner Playhouse), Love and War (Glimmerglass Festival), Company (University of Colorado Boulder) and Airness. She has also worked as a Lighting Supervisor Apprentice at The Glimmerglass Festival, as well as an assistant lighting designer, programmer, and electrician for many other theatres. Sam Morin (Sound Designer)
Sam Morin is a designer and engineer working in the creative industry specializing in sound and video. From a young age, Sam has always loved to learn about new tech and is passionate about using it creatively. Sam takes creative and technical approaches to his work and pushes the boundaries of what is possible with the given tools, techniques, and technology. He currently works for Meow Wolf Denver as an Exhibition Technologist. Kelsey Smith (Rehearsal Stage Manager)
Kelsey Smith is thrilled to return to Breckenridge Backstage Theatre after her role of Gwendolyn in The Importance of Being Earnest. She is originally from Stanton, NE but moved to Summit County in 2018 and now works as an Associate Designer for Collective Design in Frisco. After receiving her BA in Theatre from Loyola University Chicago, Kelsey worked as a scenic artist and actor. Her involvement with the Breckenridge Backstage Theatre started in 2019. Her favorite roles were playing Daisy in The Great Gatsby, Gwendolyn in The Importance of Being Earnest and experimenting with the many roles in The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged). Kelsey most recently earned a Henry award for her set design of It’s a Wonderful Life at BBT.

Megan Nations (Scenic Charge and Performance Stage Manager)
Megan Nations is a proud born and raised local who was dragged into theatre with her family and has never looked back. She primarily loves to paint and work on the set but has dabbled in stage managing and board operating. Credits include: 70s Flashback (scenic painter), The Play that Goes Wrong (scenic painter/board operator), A Christmas Story (scenic painter), A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder (scenic painter/stage manager fill), Airness (scenic painter/stage manager fill), Gift of the Magi (set painter/sound board operator). Megan is also a pediatric dental assistant, photographer, and avid crocheter.
Steven Dietz’s (Playwright)
Steven Dietz’s thirty-plus plays and adaptations have been seen at over one hundred regional theatres in the United States, as well as Off-Broadway. International productions have been seen in over twenty countries and his work has been translated into ten languages. Recent world premieres include Bloomsday (2016 Steinberg New Play Award Citation); This Random World (40th Humana Festival of New American Plays); and On Cover Road (NNPN “rolling world premiere”). Other recent work includes Rancho Mirage (Edgerton New Play Award), The Shimmering, and American La Ronde. His two-theatre commission of companion plays for adult and young audiences—The Great Beyond and The Ghost Of Splinter Cove. A two-time winner of the Kennedy Center Fund for New American Plays Award (Fiction, Still Life With Iris), Dietz is also a two-time finalist for the American Theatre Critic’s Steinberg New Play Award (Last of the Boys, Becky’s New Car). He received the PEN USA West Award in Drama for Lonely Planet, and the 2007 Edgar Award® for Drama for Sherlock Holmes: The Final Adventure. Other widely produced plays and adaptations include Yankee Tavern, Jackie & Me, Shooting Star, Dracula, Inventing Van Gogh, God’s Country, Private Eyes, and The Nina Variations. Dietz taught in the graduate playwriting and directing program at UT/Austin for twelve years, and continues to work as a Dramatists Guild “Traveling Master,” offering workshops and master classes around the country.

Branden Smith (Director & Set Construction)
Branden Smith serves as the full-time Creative Producer for the Breckenridge Backstage Theatre. Branden most recently directed The Understudy and The Importance of Being Earnest at BBT. You may have seen him acting on-stage in The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged), Taming of the Shrew, Sweeney Todd, and The Beauty Queen of Leenane. Originally from Cape Cod, MA, Branden moved to Summit County in 2017 to work in the marketing department at Keystone Resort. After performing in shows at BBT pre-pandemic, he was thrilled to create theater in Summit County year-round once the theater reopened. Branden holds a B.A in Theatre from Emerson College in Boston.
Jacqueline Stone (Producing Artistic Director)
Jacqueline Stone is the Producing Artistic Director of Breckenridge Backstage Theatre, where she most recently directed The Gift of the Magi, A Lady’s Guide to Mountains (Denver Fringe Festival), and A Christmas Story. Prior to BBT, she spent the last ten years serving as Artistic Director at the acclaimed TUTA Theatre in Chicago, delivering bold international productions and professional actor training programs. Highlights at TUTA include directing the world premiere of Hedda Gabler (as well as adapting), Off-Broadway (59E59 Theaters) and Chicago premieres of Adam Rapp’s The Edge of Our Bodies, world premiere of The Anyway Cabaret, and U.S. premiere of The Silent Language. She’s performed in over twelve highly regarded productions including smash hit Uncle Vanya, The Wedding, Baal, and Alice. From 2016-2020 Stone served as the Artistic Director of Emerald City Theatre Company, Chicago’s largest professional theatre for young audiences. Highlights include Chicago premieres of Fantastic Mr. Fox, ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas, and The Snowy Day, world premieres of Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus, Peter Rabbit, Mother Goose’s Garden, Junie B. Jones, and Ramona Quimby. Other select directing credits include The Second City, Broadway in Chicago, Piven Theatre, Strawdog Theatre, Chicago Immersive, Chicago Dramatists, Mudlark Theater, and Akvavit Theatre. Stone is the co-founder of Sirens, the longest running all-female improv ensemble in the country. She has created and performed in over two hundred original shows with them around the country. Jacqueline has taught acting and improvisation at The Second City – Chicago for ten years and Columbia College Chicago for five years. She served as Education Director of Emerald City Theatre for twelve years, building and fostering new acting programs for thousands of young people across Chicago. Other select teaching credits include The Faculty of Dramatic Arts (Belgrade, Serbia), University of Chicago, Duke University, UCLA, Miami Improv Festival, and Chicago Improv Festival. She is a proud member of SDC, Stage Directors and Choreographers union.
