YOUNG MUSICIANS SUMMIT is a one-week workshop for string chamber ensemble students to come together in the beauty of Vail, CO, and immerse themselves in music. For 2026, participants will receive an opportunity to play side-by-side with and be coached by members of Academy of St. Martin in the Fields and Music Director Joshua Bell.
Students will receive additional coaching from Festival musicians and Bravo! Vail Music Maker Haciendo Música teachers, improve their playing and technique, and work together with other students toward two public performances. In addition, students will attend a Bravo! Vail Orchestral Series performance together, build friendships with other young musicians through ensemble playing, music appreciation, and social activities.
The 2026 program runs from June 22-28. Out-of-town students requiring overnight housing will be will receive local discount housing with a parent or guardian. Discount information will be shared after acceptance.


Advanced violin, viola, cello, and bass students, ages 13 -18, can apply beginning February 1 at BravoVail. org. Students should be proficient at reading music and have prior experience playing in an ensemble. Application must include:
•a video audition including assigned excerpts, scales and two contrasting solos
•a letter of recommendation from a private teacher
•a completed online application
Classes will be taught in English. Scholarships are available.
