Established in 1903 in Toronto, Canada, Branksome Hall is an independent, university-preparatory school whose exemplary liberal arts curriculum prepares its graduates to be creative thinkers and problem solvers. All students complete the requirements of the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). Additionally, based on their academic interests, Grade 11 and 12 students may choose to complete either the full IB Diploma Programme or Branksome Hall’s unique IB Select pathway. Students who decide to take the IB Select Program pathway can curate a custom selection of standard level (SL) and higher level (HL) courses based on their interest in specializing in a particular subject area.

Toronto has long been recognized as one of the most multicultural cities in the world, with more than 230 different nationalities, approximately 200 different languages spoken and 140 different neighbourhoods of distinct character and vibrancy.

GRADUATES’ DESTINATIONS Our graduates go on to post-secondary institutions worldwide. The Class of 2026 is attending schools across Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, and beyond.
Understanding the importance of the arts as both inspiration and an outlet for student creativity, Branksome Hall is proud of the level of engagement of the student body in dance, music, theatre, film and visual arts.
Branksome Hall has a long tradition of developing internationalcalibre public speakers and debaters ready to tackle the most pressing issues of today. At the World Individual Debating and Public Speaking Championships (WIDPSC), a Branksome student was crowned the overall winner in both 2024 (Anna) and 2025 (Helen). This back-to-back win is a remarkable accomplishment and testament to the dedication of our students and coaches.
With Branksome’s new Innovation Centre and Studio Theatre (iCAST) building now open—the first of its kind in a Canadian school in the JK–Grade 12 space—students are learning from scholars, industry leaders, artists, scientists and entrepreneurs. Armed with a range of STEAM skills, Branksome students are set to close the gender divide in these fields.

Competing at the provincial and national level, Branksome Hall’s robotics team represents the future of STEM.
Building on our core value of a sense of community, Branksome is thrilled to partner with Let’s Grow Learning and Living Hub, a Toronto-based day program for medically complex, physically disabled adults. Collaborating with our Grade 10 drama class, they reimagine typical theatre experiences by exploring relaxed performances. Let’s Grow also uses Branksome’s athletic facilities in order to provide physical activities supported by Branksome Hall student volunteers.

Branksome’s Noodle accelerator program brings student business ideas to life. Each year, Branksome students develop and pitch their ideas to a panel of experts with the hope of securing $10,000 of seed financing, and more importantly, the mentorship of local business leaders.
