The parents of a boy who died in a bicycle accident have filed a claim against the city of Palo Alto, alleging that the intersection where he was hit by an SUV is dangerous. Zaeem Johnson was sent flying off his bike at East Meadow Drive and South Court on Sept. 14, 2023, when he was 14 years old. Johnson fractured his skull and severely injured his brain, and he was in a coma until he died on Nov. 13, 2025, his parents said in their claim.
